We even try our hand at fishing, trolling the line in hopes of catching the elusive pike. Although we miss out on the trout, the thrill of the chase is still worth it.

Hi mate - glad you liked it! I'd recommend Ullswater for the first lake, it's just breathtakingly beautiful. Just watch the wind, and head upwind first so you can always come back down wind.

Hey Steven not at all - just find the hard canoe easier / more convenient on trips that allow you to carry it on your roof rack (no time required to build it etc, especially with the little one). My silver birch one is slightly bigger and more comfortable for tandem. Can't wait to use my PakCanoe again though when the situation warrants it!
