Unforgiven - Claudia's Theme Straight from the movie ending
Пікірлер: 266

Claudia's Theme - a pure, true love song, a song between a living man and a wife who has passed on, a wife who gave him hope, gave him promise, and gave him life, and a reason to live ---- So utterly beautiful...... Claudia is a true star in this movie, though she never shows up on the screen - only in one man's heart, and there she will always stay.

This song bring tears to my eyes every time I listen. Makes me think of all the people I've met in my life that's dead and gone...especially family. What a beautiful song and great movie. Much love. Peace

I listen to this song because it makes me cry. When I need to think and reflect on all that has been lost and love, this song brings me back to center.

I streamed tears as soon as I read your comment. My dad would have loved this. he died in 1978 when I was 17. I adore this tune and loads of other eastwood stuff - Madison county/gran torino. I hope you are coping if your dad has passed away. Like this song you'll never forget him, or get over him, you'll just used to things triggering the memories and tears. They're not to be hidden or ashamed of. Cry on your own or with your family and friends. If they don't understand that's their problem.X

Just watched this movie a few weeks ago. The cinematography was stunning and the shot of his wife's grave under that lonely tree with the beautiful sunset is so touching to look at. When the music builds at 2:00, it gives me goosebumps.

Wow... How music arrests the soul... Bringing the past into the present filled with either good or bad memories i am so glad in this messed up world a few things make sense and worth living for... This theme makes me think back many years when i grew up in a orphanage and as an orphan loneliness is like breathing exhaling of yourself daily nd inhaling either bad or good... This is what makes us at time who we are... A victim of circumstances

Clint Eastwood a living American icon.......and many may disagree, but in my humble opinion Unforgiven is the greatest of all Western's ever produced......

Actually, you are not alone in your views. Most critics suggest it it the best western ever made due to the multi faceted characterisations of life and human nature. It explodes the myth of romantic gunslingers and romanticism of the old West. Clint did a breathtaking job of directing a work of art.

'Some years later, Mrs Ansonia Feathers made the arduous journey to Hodgeman County to visit the last resting place of her only daughter. William Munny had long since disappeared with the children...some said to San Francisco where it was rumored he prospered in dry goods. And there was nothing on the marker to explain to Mrs Feathers why her only daughter had married a known thief and murderer, a man of notoriously vicious and intemperate disposition.'

To my wife Claudia... That may be resting in peace ... Changes - Black Sabbath "I feel unhappy, I feel so sad I've lost the best friend, that I ever had. She was my woman, I love her so. But it's too late now, I've let her go. I'm going through changes. I'm going through changes. We shared the years, we shared each day. In love together, we found a way. But soon the world, had it's evil way. My heart was blinded, love went astray. I'm going through changes. I'm going through changes. It took so long, to realize. And I can still hear her last goodbyes. Now all my days, are filled with tears. Wish I could go back, and change these years. I'm going through changes. I'm going through changes"

A question appeared as to the meaning of the closing scene of Unforgiven. William Muny's drunkeness and murderous ways were "cured" with the love of and for his wife Claudia, and he felt that his killing of Davey & Little Bill betrayed her. As he stood by her grave, he realized she would never be able to forgive him for those particular sins in this life, and he could never forgive himself for betraying her love. Thus, he forever remains the Unforgiven. The closing scene transformed this film from one of the best of all time in any genre - a gripping character study set within unsurpassed realism - to a touching, heart-rending love story. Many thanks to Clint Eastwood for giving the world a true cinematic work of art that will endure for as long as cinema itself endures.

I hated this when I first saw it, but watched it over and over and it became one of my favorite Eastwood movies. Realized that he was making a statement about his age and the story portrays an aging gun fighter that was still doing the best that he can. It was evil vs. evil, Love this picture now.

I always took it to mean that W.W. Beauchamp, the guy that followed around English Bob, then Little Bill, took to writing about Wm. Munny and that was his writing at the end. Munny was elusive, to the point that only Claudia and Ned knew his true character. Claudia Feathers' Mother couldn't figure it why she would marry Munny, but this movie shows us why that would've happened and how much she changed him.
