As a former used car dealer and possibly a future one as well, I FEEL YOUR PAIN! It never fails that the people that pay you all the money love you and the ones that you end up making only $500 on are a pain in the butt. Never fails! I learned to stop doing skinny deals and just turning those people away, it's just not worth it. Make sure you make them sign at least 3 different documents that they understand the vehicle is being sold AS-IS. I've literally had customers call me and yell at me 6 months after buying a used car because the headlight went out. "You knew it had a bad headlight"! WTF? People are just insane and mentally ill. Even though it's only a few dollars to fix the headlight for them at any auto parts store and maybe 5 minutes of installation, you are the bad guy because you are a used car dealer. Guilty WAY before anything even happens. When I got out of the car business, it was a relief that I no longer had to tell people that I was a car dealer when they asked what I did for a living. You're automatically labeled as a scumbag, it sucks, but part of the territory. Another reason why you NEVER sell a vehicle unless they test drive it. And always say NO when they ask if they can take it to their mechanic to have it inspected before they buy it. The mechanic will ALWAYS give them a laundry list of things it needs, leaks, etc. 100% of the time it will kill the deal, just say no, but you are welcome to bring your mechanic with you to the lot and inspect it here. At least that way your vehicle doesn't leave the property and it wastes less of your time.

This video is as real as it gets. I’m a dealer myself. One of the most unfortunate things about the business is the stigma that as a dealer your going to rip them off or how some people think we owe them something because we are dealers. People that give off that vibe or similar I just politely push to the side to avoid issues. We all end up with that crazy customer that wants to push to get a little more after the deal. As a dealer we know these people cannot be pleased so don’t even bother. They just want to take advantage and with experience you will be able to tell. What makes up for it is when we get a really respectful customer through the door that helps balance things out.

Well the nurse gave him a juice, he smiled as he drank and said, I'm done, can I have another (third drink at this point) he finished, i shook my head no to the nurse, he said why, aren't you about customer service here! he didn't say thank you but smiled as he handed it back. they will just try to see what they can get out of you, manipulation is there tactic against the honest hard working people.

The parking lot, that reviews had said was full of holes and garbage everywhere, was in excellent condition with no garbage anywhere. The on-site motel was in great shape and clean despite reviews to the contrary. The main building was incredible. It was hospital clean with floors I could eat off of. The restaurant was just as clean even in the corners and the service and food was good too. I asked the waitress if there had been a management change. She said no. She was just as puzzled as I was over the reviews. Before I left that restaurant, I posted a sparkling review and showed it to the waitress. All this for at the time for $35 dollars. Nimrod pulls out of the shop burning rubber. He blows a tire. The only gaurentee he got was they didn't leak air. On the flipside, it's also become so tough to navigate reviews as a potential customer. Along with typically many reviews coming from bad experiences+Karens and fewer reviews coming from good experiences, there are many other concerns. Companies can easily make accounts to write their own fake positive reviews or just purchase them. People review bomb with their families/friends to ruin the score. So many reasons. Both ends of the spectrum get tainted. That's why I think these KZbin videos are so valuable. Admittedly I probably won't need a vehicle anytime in the near future, but if I did, I would happily buy from Flying Wheels (I'd probably pick up a Jeep) and recommend friends to check the inventory and consider.

I am very aware that people love to complain, sometimes without any moral ground to do so, but I maintain that it is important to push back and also reward those who deserve praise especially because of the unfair ration of negative reviews. In addition I take this approach because my own work comes from recommendation in it's various shapes and forms, but for two other reasons ... 1. It is good to promote those that you may want to do business with again in the future and 2. I want people I care about to be the beneficiaries of businesses that are successful because of their customer support. Finally, it costs nothing to be nice to others ... I'm north of Fort Worth and back at a lot doing it like Craig. I actually have been to his place a few years ago while taking another rust free Texas 4x4 Ford Explorer to my starter wife in Nashua, Nh.
