getting to hear this song (first hehe) in warsaw last week and now getting to hear it again has me sobbing - feel so privileged i got to love it first and now getting to listen to it again has helped fill the horrendous gap post gig blues brought. thank you, once again, for reminding me everything is ok and restoring some kind of balance to my life. im autistic, i am struggling massively with processing the fact that this has ended but this has helped ground me a lot (also for those who are interested, i did a video abt my dodie concert experience as someone who is autistic!! you never know, it might help someone. it is v positive and goes through some ways i prepared myself for the concert! i know concerts can feel inaccessible to us autistic folk but i personally found dodie's concert to be accessible from this perspective)

This song hit hard. Jesus, I’m on the receiving end of this, and as much as I love talking to this girl, and as much as I love sharing a half cooked mug brownie, it always tires me out when we have our talks. I feel like my energy is getting squeezed like a sponge, but she’s so good at keeping me hooked. She gets crazy and spontaneous at times, and sometimes I wonder if I’ll always be able to keep up with that. I always do, and I think that’s the problem. I can’t say no, and our talks have morphed into late night confessionals. I’m so torn with what I want to do, because I don’t want to hurt her feelings, but at the same time, I want to be free of her. Idk, this probably sounds like gibberish, but I need some help with dealing this…
@kaijuno2 жыл бұрын
I’m just a random stranger but boundaries and communication are key!! You can let her know how much you like her but still tell her (kindly) when you’re starting to feel uncomfortable or drained by certain things she does. If she cares about you she’ll listen and give you the space you need. If she doesn’t respect your “no” then it’s better to break things off. I just had a similar conversation with a close friend, and it was hard but worth it! Good luck!!

I think everyone needs their own space from time to time, and that can mean setting up boundaries. Its probably better to have a respectful and well informed relationship than a spontaneous but annoying/disrespectful one.

If anyone's wondering if the little letters rubbed out of the background spell anything when overlayed over each other, they don't from what I can tell - appears to be parts of the lyrics already in the video, but also couldn't find them lining up to spell anything - so if there is an easter egg there, it's not in that way!
