Highly interesting ! How did you eliminate the air bubbles possibly present in the concrete. I guess some amount of vibration is required to achieve this.

how did you pour such a big slab using SCC? in mass pours, using conventional concrete, you use a step method placement to obviously reduce the surface area to avoid cold joints in case of unexpected delays. and you cant form steps with slumps over 6 inches. so, were you able to pour these big slabs with a mix that is highly flowable such as SCC?

Polycarboxylate superplasticizer is now the best admixture for making SCC.

Yes, there are. They are generally referred to, oddly enough, as SRA's or Shrink Reducing Admixture. There are two basic classes, SRA's and CRA's (Crack Reducing Admixtures).
