Do the Restoration Requests for rebuilding the towns that need it, but DON'T do the Auxiliary Requests unless you have a mass excess of that resource. The rewards aren't as good and they don't boost the towns, and you may very well ruin your supply of something you need to restore a different town

You’ll know you’ve already done that once you get the option to place someone from your army there as a guard, right?

@fegu yes, most towns require 1 restoration. A few are already restored and yes you can tell because you can place a guard. The large towns have 3 restoration levels, the ones with taverns.

My tip is to station garrisons in combat as much as possible to avoid losing stamina. In high difficulties units being caught resting can completely ruin the scenario.

I had one cought in my last battle (the one where you get your first wizard, you see a bit of it in this video), I sort of negated my goof immediately with Josef's Heal devine skill... DON'T sleep on those skills! edit: but yeah he was garrisoned on the bridge... else he surely would have been wiped out completely!

Vanillaware sucked me in hard with 13 Sentinels and they did it again with unicorn overlord. I downloaded the demo, wasn't sure I'd really enjoy it since I'm not big on tactical RPGs, but wow! There's just something so intuitive to the gameplay. Had to pick up the collectors edition after that 😅

My one tip would be to setup a gambit for healers to self heal since it’s not preset. So weird to see healers not heal themselves when they have damage and no one else does lol.

Playing this currently. First game since re4 remake that I sunk into. This is my personal GOTY so far. Still learning as I go, this is a hidden gem at least download the demo. It runs better on ps5 and the store had it 50% off. I got the physical Nintendo version for the Oled. The ps5 demo the game at times ran more clear but graphics the Oled held up

I've been waiting for a game like this for YEARS. Ogre Battle is my favourite series - yes NOT Tactics Ogre - there are a million games like that one, but Ogre Battle and to a lesser extent Ogre Battle 64 (it's good, but not quite as good as the OG). Hopefully this game succeeds and Square notices enough to remake Ogre Battle. Square owns the rights but only seems to care about Tactics Ogre. Anyway, Vanillaware absolutely killed it with this game.

My tip is to give gift to stationed guards that you want to increase your relationship, is just stay close and press R button, I figured it out 30 hours later. Is much better than the tavern.

Don't do any phase battle. instead go around the world map collecting resources and fighting random enemies to gain honor. When you are done with Cornia just use the map to teletrasnsport to the previous active Battle and after a few skirmishes you can gather the same materials again.

Good call on the items...this is the first RPG in a while where I've used them regularly. In many others I fall into that trap of "oh I might need it later" and just never use them, and the game lets me get away with it. Granted I was playing on Expert so maybe on lower difficulties you don't need to use them as much.
