Besides Oscar the zombie elephant from "Resident Evil Outbreak: File 2" and the plague sauropod from Genndy Tartakovsky's "Primal", this scene also reminds me of the ending to "Squash... Anyone?", a story in the "Tales from the Crypt" comics. That story's synopsis involves an unfaithful circus performer, who stages the death of his wife and has the elephant put down for it. But then he and his mistress are later attacked by the wife and elephant, who have returned from with grave with a vengeance.
