If anyone is curious, it's cheaper per oz for Limecrime compared to most brands. I did the math.. at the very least, cheaper than Argan Oil One N Only, which is my favorite fantasy dye.

I love the hair color. They recommend 2-3 jars for medium length hair for full coverage and to leave it in for 1-2 hours to make it last and for full color. They also say that you don't need to mix it with conditioner and that it's ready to use from the pot. Edit: Just in case anyone was wondering!

Other dyes work just fine with conditioner. I've been pastel pink many times and it never turned out patchy. From what I've seen from limecrime I don't think they're really vibrant and it seems like they wash out pretty fast. I think the fact that she applied it with her hands didn't help much either.

AngelicChaos The key is choosing a white conditioner that does not contain silicones! The dye will take to the hair better if diluted with non silicone conditioner.

AngelicChaos As a stylist, this conditioner does not work with ANY fashion color because it contains silicone. So if you want to pastelize a particular hair color, you can either mix it with a clear/white dye, or find a silicone free conditioner, if you're on a budget, Tresemme makes one. But I have found the Lime Crime hair color to be patchy no matter what after seeing quite a few videos on it. You can see in every video that it does not penetrate the hair the way most other dyes do, you can see it tends to sit on top of the hair.

i ordered two jars of Gargoyle and I'm really excited to get it! i ordered two so i don't have to wait for more to come when i need to touch up. i think the price is worth it because it looks to be about double the size of Manic Panic, which is what i usually use, for only a couple dollars more.

No, when semi permanent hair dye fades theres always a little bit of pigment left.

Your hair looks beautiful and that color really suits you! Just a tip: don't use metal spoons or containers to mix (or take out of the container) condition or hair mask. Also (since I'm at it), don't use your own hands to take hair mask! From what I've been reading, they tend to not be very good for the hair products, because they make it less powerful :)

The dye didnt take as well as it could have to your hair because your hair was still very yellow after bleaching and you had a bug pink patch in your hair as well. Your hair could have used another go through a purple toner to cancel out the yellow and the dye would could have been move vibrant in your hair. Other than that purple hair suits you nicely, its very flattering

Well, she used the dye which has purple/violet in it that's usually used to tone yellow hair ;) I guess that specific shade she used would turn out more purple/cool toned on actual white hair.

Looks like it doesn't work very well with diluting for a pastel shade. Rather than going pastel it's just gone patchy.
