I have all Ubiquiti at my house and been paying my cable company for a landline bundled into our cable and internet service. We downgraded our cable service to minimum and dropped our landline and pay about the same it was before, we just had no need for a landline. Fast forward to 2020, pandemic starts and find ourselves working from home more so I looked into Ubiquiti Talk since I already had the hardware. 9.99 per month I got 2 touch phones and 1 line, we are very happy with it. Best thing we're not getting SPAM calls as much but that will change I'm sure. Great video by the way.

Great video! I run a Pharmacy and installed Unifi for our networking/Wifi and CCTV. I would love to drop our analogue copper phone line and go with Unifi Talk if they would just launch in UK/Ireland! C'mon Ubiquiti!

Can the phones intercom between each other? This is the main thing I'm hung up on to keep from switching our business over to talk. We've just got an old school Panasonic phone system with 3 lines and we buzz each other between our offices more than we talk on the phones using an outside line.

Yes, you just dial the desired phones 4 digit extension. Internal calls like that don’t count against your 3,000 minutes per line.

Can you do the intercom only with locked phones without a subscription?

The features alone are enough to switch to a complete ubiquiti system. $10 a month per line. This includes Caller ID, auto hunt group, if you have multiple lines. We have the complete Ubiquiti system with the UDM-SE which is an "All-in-one" managed router, voice, remote I.P. cameras and DVR. Complete small enterprise control. COMPLETE. All managed switches and complete WIFI throughout an 18,000 square foot building with the whole line of Ubiquiti. Once you dive in you're hooked, yes it's that good. We spent over $5,000 on the complete system not just to save $40 bucks a month but for the features and the control. Buy Ubiquiti stock...

Curious how do Fire alarm and emergency elevator call out numbers work?

It appears as though you do not need a third party SIP. What benefit for your setup would there be with a SIP?

At home I use Asterisk with a channel bank to run my extensions. I doubt the Ubiquity hardware supports pulse dialing..LOL!

Probably not!

We have the same toll free number for our business for 10+ years, and I believe a toll-free can not be ported into Unifi Talk (USA). If we were to switch to UniFi talk, what number would we be able to post on our website for customers to call into. How does this posted number routto to all the other UniFi lines on the system?

I have not seeing a $29/unit phone. The ones in the unifi site is way more. Where did you get them?

I also don't see the $29 a unit option either. Did you ever find it?

Can you have one unified talk account shared among multiple sites that you manage? Or do you have to have a separate Unifi talk account at each site?
@simple_networks8 ай бұрын
It’s technically possible using site to site VPNs although it wouldn’t be my recommendation. You would increase latency and you wouldn’t have accurate e911 support on the remote sites.

Would be nice if UIT was in other countries :(

with only 1 line can you still all be on the phone at once?
@simple_networks2 жыл бұрын
Yes! Multiple people can use the line at the same time.
@LanTel-rb6kt8 ай бұрын
@@simple_networks I like your video, but there is no way for multiple people to use a single line at one time unless you 1. access the line from one phone and someone else on the same network conference with you ( on-net ), or 2. Your phone carrier is giving you a buffer. If you can, please clarify the added features to make this happen.
