How do you calculate diffusion when the water is at the surface of the container and there is no airflow above the cylinder to carry the water away? I know there's an interphase but how do you estimate the size?

So if there isn't a gradient in the z direction, why does Na = y(Na) ? That doesn't make sense to me unless there is actually moving fluid vertically which it's not.
