It's a good idea to leave them in for 3-4 months. That's protective hair styles at its finest. As long as your scalp is clean and the hair is moisturized. Excellent job and she is a pretty young lady.

I’ve currently been using rice water and I’ve had my braids in for three weeks and I’m already seeing new growth it’s crazy 😂
@yourstrulycourtney50204 жыл бұрын
L J how much times did you use it a day & did you make new rice water every day?
@vee31334 жыл бұрын
Be careful with using it too much. What are u mixing it with it balance the protein?
@lj38724 жыл бұрын
Vanessa Williams ive been using black castor on my scalp, massaging it in and then applying the rice water and doing the same
@lj38724 жыл бұрын
YoursTruly Courtney I bought some on amazon cause the store near my house ran out of rice. But two days ago my mum let me use some of her rice and I just filled up to jars with the rice water and put it in the freezer. To answer your question, I use it once a a day, first oil my scalp with castor oil and massaging it in, ( I split my braids into two sections so it’s easier) the I do the same on the other side of my head, apply the rice water with my spray bottle and do exactly the same as I did with the oil. Hope you found this helpful ☺️
@Shedewtheuser4 жыл бұрын
L J rice water is not meant to be used once a day and can begin to cause breakage once you take your braids out because you have way to much protein build up. Rice water should also be used as a rinse so you should only be leaving it in your hair for 10-45 min depending on your HAIR POROSITY. Be careful mamas because even heavy oils can be detrimental to hair growth depending on hair porosity

So...there is a process to taking down 2-3 month old braids? I got my hair braided back in 2018 and no one told me that there was a process, and I made a mess of my hair to the point I vowed NOT to get them again; but I want some so bad to keep for months at a time so that my relaxer can grow out.
