The overall [praise for the s20 fe on youtube] seduced me. So I bought it, and was STAGGERED by the MASSIVE seemingly [take over google with our own bloatware samsung tied into this awesum phone!] :o THANK YOU so very much for this. @ExplainingAndroid4 жыл бұрын
I don't think it can result in an actual "bootloop" but if you disable an important app then you will get a bunch of force close notifications on the screen. that could result in so many that it's literally unusable without reinstalling those apps. but you can just reinstall those apps with another command. I believe I have included the reinstall command in the full tutorial on my site (linked in the video description) this means you can do trial and error testing to find out what you can uninstall without consequence. but it also means that you should be keeping track (create a list) of everything you uninstall so that you can reinstall it if needed

When I said "Samantha" I really meant "Samsung". Sorry about the typo caused by this Samsung tablet's spelling correction feature.

My main question is will this free up storage? Cause the primary reason for me to remove bloatware is to free up space. If a reset makes these apps reappear that means they were still in there somewhere taking up storage? That’s kinda confusing

Great question, I'd also like to know the answer to this too.

If I'm not mistaken that's due to the fact that you are restoring from an android image made by samsung, and within the image you have everything the phone needs to make it work related to android, including pre loaded apps. You can load custom roms made by other people and they will probably come with other pre loaded apps defined by the developer. You are saving space on the current Android image running on your phone only. The image to make a reset wasn't altered at all.

From another video I saw, it does not really free up space.

Had to peck around for unwanted Carrier Apps on my Samsung Galaxy A10e, I did a restart to ensure my phone is okay! I did these procedures on Linux.

Can this method work on redmi phones?
@ExplainingAndroid4 жыл бұрын
Hi Arubuola, Yes, you can do the exact same thing on any Android smartphone or tablet (including Xiaomi). You simply need to use the app to find the package name and then use it with those ADB commands

@@ExplainingAndroid thank you for the response, your video are quite illustrative and simple; it is your video I used to root my redmi7 😋

Hello, is "Samsung Push Service" safe to uninstall as well? Will it negatively affect the functionality of the phone?
@ExplainingAndroid3 жыл бұрын
from what I can find, that app is responsible for "sending brand-specific notifications" to the phone. that sounds advertisement related so I would guess that it is safe to uninstall using this method. just make a note of the package name so that if you notice anything out of the odd (maybe it stops you from getting SMS messages or something). you can reinstall it using the install existing command but I doubt it will impact your SMS notifications or anything like that. this seems purely ad related.

Oh ok, thank you. What about the application, 'Samsung Experience Service'?
