This is a Very Interesting Intersection on this Subdivision. Great location to film a Train. 👍

That is a great place to live! Always wondered why they never double tracked that section.

@@travelingtom923 My Palmer is in Nebraska!😊 That's a good question about the double tracking! As we discussed when first acquainted, it's always a mystery what railroads do!😀

@@georgematthews2877 Yes they must have had some good reasons for never doing it. Sure is a bad choke point for traffic.

UP generally takes a different route which explains why you see more BNSF around here. 👍

120 cars today. Not very much snow left. Great beginning, that was awesome.

I miss the days of the Rio Grande, Santa Fe, and Burlington Northern in Palmer Lake. Train watching here was always the best then!!

Thanks for braving the cold!! Makes for a great dynamic!!!

I live there. Don't see much UP of any sort. Just about all BNSF any more. Great video.

That's because UP sucks and are all about the bottom dollar over valuing the life and safety of their workers. I know first hand

My buddy used to work for union Pacific in the Denver yard, a few times early on ran the Cheyenne or Denver to Pueblo, can't recall. That stretch is pretty gnarly, especially between larkspur and monument. He's encountered mountain lions while inspecting after they hit an elk. Lots of dangerous wild game in that area of the front range

Great Scenery. Long coal trains are all over KZbin this week. Must be for power plants due to the extreme weather.

Never seen a train that long, what is the total length, and what is the maximum length that these can go to? Thanks for posting.
@travelingtom9233 жыл бұрын
That train would be about 7,000 feet long. Not sure on maximum length. I know in Arizona there were running trains almost 3 miles long. Here is video of a 213 car train kzbin.info/www/bejne/ppuben1vgbODn7M

Not much snow at all on the foothills. Been one of the mildest Winters I have ever seen. I heard the mountains are getting a lot of snow.
