How are you planning to spring your trucks such that they can flex? If you're running 3 axles, the middle wheel should float to accommodate for undulations in the track. On the real turbines, the two bottom plates running between your bearings were separate pieces and sprung from there. This helped distribute the weight equally. You may know this already, but I'm not quite seeing how that will work. That being said, this thing is looking sweet.

Absolutely loving this build! Can't wait to see the next instalment! While I'm sad you're not going with the home-brew jet, I totally understand going with the pre-made unit, looks like it was a good score!

are you using the gas turbine to drive an old turbo to act as your generator? if so you'll need a system for lubricating the turbo shaft with engine oil. a basic pump,resivour and piping (all need to be able to handle atleast 100c) should do the trick

Hello Alex , this will be covered in the next video I do on the build, thankyou for taking the time to comment

Do you have any idea of what the total weight will be for the B unit after all the construction is finished?
@EverythingAnthonySOS3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jeff , I have no idea what the total weight will be , it's adding up fast !
@jeffbutler61003 жыл бұрын
I just wondered if you might need some sort of hoist to move it off the building area to the floor. Also loading and unloading it into a vehicle
