Part two of Uninon Pacific Railroad, Las Vegas and vicinity 1993-1994.
This completes all the footage I captured when I lived in Nevada.
A special thanks to Wayne Miller ( long-time friend from highschool days) for converting the DVD file to MPEG 4 so it may be viewed by all those interested.
I was in my upper 20's when gathered this footage. I usually would bring my guitar along while waiting for trains. I got some good practicing in cause I would spend hours out various locations.
This upload is done for historical purposes. You will also see Amtrak's Desert WInd when it was running. In the early nineties Vegas was undergoing huge changes and construction and demolition projects were changing the landscape of Las Vegas more than my camera could keep up. Vegas won, but at least I got some of the older Vegas before it was all gone.
On themusic front, I have been busy working on a new album recording with my brother and occassionally doing my "70's fingerpicking gigs." I hope to upload more music soon. Thank you to all of those who have subscribed. I really appreciate it!

Love it, Ray! I love it! I especially love the clip that shows Spring Mountain Road near Treasure Island before the overpass was built! Also, at about 43:37 in the video, really awesome part. I don’t think I saw it in the first video. There’s a really rusted out Davenport switcher. That’s the same one that was operated from Boulder City to the Hoover Dam by the Bureau of Reclamation. It’s now at the train museum in Boulder City.

Oh, wow! I noticed that green passenger car at 49:13! Wondering where that went. I’m wondering if it went to Boulder City. It could be there in the museum’s boneyard. They have a bunch of cars stashed away in a fenced off part of the yard awaiting potential restoration. Plus, a good amount of rail equipment was donated and moved to the museum in 1993-1994.
