The friction from the slip wire connections could have caused the copper disk to slow down. Im not sure how secure your connections were but the test is null if you can't equalize the disks friction to each other.

The friction of the disc contacts is a major problem, increased by the short braking welding points at high currents. But I never push, it always has to start on its own.

@@erwinresearch i under but the friction must be equal between the two disks to ensure they are under the same conditions when your measuring the compared rate of change between the two disks. If they arent equal, then obviously the rate of acceleration will be different because one has to work again a load while the other is enabled to freely spin.

now I understand, of course the copper disc is always slowed down by the friction of the sliding contacts - let me think about whether the magnetic forces do not nevertheless dominate in order to explain the higher speed of the magnetic discs.

you built a homopolar motor. I don't see any paradoxes

You are right. The paradox for me is the non-rotating ring magnet in part 1; here we have a rotation, but in the direction of the copper disc, which is caused by the magnetic field of the rotating magnetic discs (with the help of the eddy current). The field of the individual magnets is different from that of a ring magnet (no eddy current). I am sure that if the eddy current effect would not exist, the magnetic disc would stay still as well as the ring. Thank you! I think discussion is necessary when it comes to this topic.
