Marlique is friendship endgame. They genuinely had the only friendship that wasn’t toxic in some way, shape, or form. They respected each other and always supported each other. None of the girls in the earlier seasons can say the same and they never had the opportunity to try and build a friendship around Jane & Madison in the last season since it was cut short.

marley and unique's friendship is honestly so refreshing in a show where nearly every person had drama with their friends or partners. marlique is one of my top glee relationships out of both the platonic and romantic pairings. it's one of the healthiest relationships and they didn't start as enemies or constantly fight unlike other popular pairings. (that's not to hate on the other pairings btw i still love them)

She really doesn't. Rachel is a pretty relatable protag, but Marley feels a lot more... real as a main character. Her struggles just meant more to me than Rachel's. Her eating disorder, her vulnerability, her compassion. A genuinely sweet character isn't a problem and it's awful how people say she's bland or whatever when she's actually a good person with no hidden agenda

I’m not sure about that- Mercedes and Santana, at least from what I’ve seen in the first seasons weren’t the absolute friendliest. They even had this whole number to fight over Puck. Skdndkdndk At the end of the day, I feel like they realized that both of them could be a great duo for getting things done, two very compatible colleagues. They were brilliant together and they knew how to bounce from each other’s talent and charisma. These two friendships are great but also feel very different to me. I think that Marlique is more similar to Matt’s and Mike’s friendship, tbh.
