Guys, now you’re in my backyard! Isn’t Two Wheels of Suches (TWS) the best motorcycle campground! I can leave my home and ride to TWS in 1.5-hrs! I make day trips to TWS on Saturday’s , meet friends, have lunch and relax! Looks like you rode south on Wolf Pen Gap. Need to ride Blood Mountain. Run south on Hwy-60 and Hwy-9 into Dahlonega. Ride up through the backroads to Blue Ridge and Hiawassee,GA. Did y’all stop at Two Tire Tavern in Helen, great food. The north Georgia mountains and the roads are us local motorcycle riders secret. I’d dare say the north Georgia roads are in fantastic condition and comparable to any road in North Carolina or eastern Tennessee. TWS closed for winter season in late November but reopens, I believe around March 31,2021. I can’t wait to enjoy TWS and ride the local roads again. Y’all be safe as you continue your journey. Keep the Faith!

These are my daily rides. Beautiful all year long and sparce car traffic except in late Sept and April. Don't tell anyone. Two Wheels over Suches is one of the better camps. Tent camping or the little bedroom cabins you see. Pretty nice restaurant/diner and only 30 scenic minutes to Dahlonega if you want a big tourist restaurant town.

Two Wheels of Suches, formerly known as Two Wheels Only (TWO) was the first motorcycles-only campground in the U.S.! Founded by former Eastern Airlines pilot and motorcycle devotee Frank Cheek way back in the 80's! It was often mentioned in "Rider" magazine back in those days. The North Georgia mountains were relatively unknown to biker crowds until Frank opened TWO. Hard to believe that today because the mountain roads are always crowded with motorcycles on any nice weekend day!

I noticed they had blocked off Bridal Veil Falls since I was there. North Georgia is said to be like the Black Forrest in Germany. Germany is my mom's side, but I've not been there. Helen is really beautiful at night. Nice hike up to the other falls. Just north of Helen is Hwy 80 which is a great ride too. Going to the swinging bridge, I was only worried about the Harley bottoming out on the bottom of the engine. Seems like you did ok. Great video once again. Wow, so many locals posting here! 😁 There area is pretty much my play area from March - December as I live less than 2 hours south in metro ATL. It's the greatest place for motorcycles and if you ride ADV, so much the better. Riding a Goldwing, I too have found my way onto dirt and gravel seeking fun and adventure, but it's all good! While at TWO, I sure hope you rode Wolfpen Gap Road, Richard B Russell, along with going up/down 60 between US 76 & Dahlonega or ride up/down Blood Mountain for some amazing twisties. While Helen is quaint, many riders avoid the congested town, but 75 is also a fun road. Brasstown Bald was also very close by to TWO and well worth the ride up to the highest peak in the state. Finally, open on the weekends, Jim's Smoking Q up on 129, just south of Blairsville, has some of the best BBQ you will EVER eat ...sure hope you found it. Thanks for another wonderful video ...blessings to you both.

Looking at the cars in the parking lots it is definitely not a 4x4 road.

Another excellent video! You mentioned editing in a campground, which got me to thinking what you use to edit when you’re travelling. And speaking of editing I thought I’d pass along a trick I use. At the end of your video, as you walk over the swinging bridge, you go under a sign that tells about the bridge. However the sign is too small and the view too short to allow viewers to read the sign. What I do in a situation like that is to use key frames to zoom into the sign. Then I take a snapshot of the now larger sign and insert the snapshot as a three second clip into the timeline. When you play it back, the zoom into the sign and pause to allow reading it is seamless. I use LumaFusion to edit on my iPad Mini 5 and it allows for key framing. Looking forward to your next video.

Helen was initially a logging town in decline that decided to make itself into an ‘Alpine’ German town in 1969. Having lived in Germany for seven years, I don’t expect authenticity, but occasionally ride through the town-stayed there a couple times. During Octoberfest season, room prices can exceed Germany prices. It’s a good place to stay though-great roads and scenery in/around the area as you learned for yourself.
