I dropped the red vs blue map. I'm trying to piece together an open world map with a lot of quests. It's going very bad, but... it's going.

I'm rooting for bud! Open world maps are tough, but a key design principal to remember is that you don't always have to build wide. Sometimes, it's better to make a smaller area feel dense and real, where every area has purpose but isn't crowded. There's too many empty open world maps that get boring really quick, because the fun bits are too far apart.

@SeeDaveRun The map is not that big. I'm using the smaller grid island as a base. I'm scared of not having enough memory to build everything. There's a lot of things for me to develop. Like, quest sistem, delivery sistem, raid sistem. It may sound too much, but trust me. This map is not going to have even 20% of my concept.

If you plan it well and be very particular about optimizing the models and systems you're setting up, you can fit in a LOT before even coming close to the memory limit. Another common mistake I see when flying around creative maps in replay mode is that people forget to delete their item staging area after they're done. If you've got 20-30+ items chilling under the map somewhere that you're not using, that adds up.

They did make some recent updates with added categories which is nice, but it's definitely gonna take some time. In the meantime, treat it like looking for new music - you just gotta hit play on a bunch of stuff till you find what you like

Have you seen the slow improvement of zombies maps? They are truly becoming Cod: Zombies and I actually can play them for long amounts of time because they are genuinely fun. And the map design and ways you get weapons and progress through the map are genuinely well thought out. It’s definitely worth checking out sometime if you haven’t

@@SeeDaveRun MrBeast Zombie Island (mrbeast is actually attached to this one unlike the other ones that use his likeness), Zombienite and Zombie Breakout: Asylum. All 3 capture the fun of zombie games and make for fun creative maps to play in a party when battle royale gets boring.

Believe me, I thought the same thing originally, but after looking into the artist, I felt more confident that it wasn't AI art, but I could be wrong. Most AI art I've seen always has faults when you look even a little closer at it, and I wasn't seeing that here.

One or two weeks ago i found this map called Drive Nation RP. Its basically Forza Horizon but in FN. I think its the best map to have fun with the car cosmetics. Races, car meet-ups, exploration, its just pure fun and chill. For the first time in over 7 months i finally found a driving map in which u can only drive and doesnt spawn u into a warzone of 12 yr olds shooting eachother cuz they having adhd or idk.

Well, one thing to keep in mind, is that your can find a bunch of free monster models online for free or a few bucks if you have it to spend. They can be pulled into UEFN pretty easy, with a full rig already setup with them. Should help you get those epic boss fights in place faster.

Creative 2.0 is so disappointing not the engine but the way people use it, I don't think that people realize what is really possible with the UEFN engine you can make games in fortnite that don't even look remotely close to fortnite and sadly I've not seen a single one. And it's been almost 2 years since it came out and it's just very disappointing. Take Roblox for an example the Roblox game Rell seas is made in the Roblox engine and it's not even remotely close to how Roblox actually looks, and UEFN is so much more powerful than Roblox studio It's very overwhelming. And I know what you're probably thinking "just make one yourself" I would if I had a PC :/ but I'm confined to 1.0 that won't even add more vfx device updates... You know how a lot of fortnite creators come on the video screaming and "YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY NOT GONNA BELIEVE THIS!" in their videos? That's what your thumbnail was saying to me and I HATE those creators (mostly because I'm adult and not 13), however I'm specifically looking for some new and exciting maps to play on Fortnite so I watched anyway. You've got a much more chill and informative demeanor and I think your thumbnails should reflect that. Just a bit of feedback and advice, don't listen to me however because the majority of Fortnites fanbase is kids and that's who you should market to.

I appreciate the honesty. Here's the deal, though - on KZbin, you've gotta compete with an endless number of other content creators putting out similar content every minute, especially for Fortnite. This means I have to balance a thin line between standing out and fitting in. If I go too far out of left field with my thumbnails and titles, it's gonna feel out of place or even strange to viewers who are used to Fortnite content. But if I make it feel too similar to other creators, I'll just blend in. Then, you add the need for consistent branding on the channel - people need to be able to see my thumbnails and immediately know it's a video from me. There's a reason why the company I work for has a whole team to help do just thumbnails and the like. It's not a perfect science by any means. It does take a lot of time to figure out what works and what doesn't. For now, this seems to be working. According to the analytics, the majority of my audience is supposedly in their 20's, but I'd like to think all kinds of people can enjoy my content regardless.
