There are creative maps with 10k+ players and they are fun for 5 minutes and then they suck. And if you do a lot of digging you can find some insanely top tier map that is one of the best creative maps you’ve ever played in your life and you can’t believe that it’s in fortnite! And it will have 0-3 active players. Fortnite needs a way to put these top tier game modes into a category for casual players to find. You can’t rely on what’s most popular.

That's one of the main things I try to do on this channel is dig through to find those uniquely fun maps to highlight... and when I can't find ones I like, I find a few goofy ones to poke fun at.

Finally someone recommends a map from The Foad, my favourite one is Boom Escape featuring TNTina. Unfortunately they downgraded the difficulty greatly, but it’s still a unique ride I remember playing a map similar to Mercenaries from PWR, dead creator sadly

I really want to see more developers like FOAD come to Fortnite, but I don't think the echo system rewards them currently for doing so. It's kind of a weird situation where making these really unique maps usually requires a lot of time from talented people, that understandably don't want to work for free. So they'll often make these basic maps that just follow the trends or make sponsored maps, so they can build up with money to make their big dream project down the line. The problem is they often burn out before getting there or decide their big idea won't make them as much money as what their doing currently, so they just stick with that. At this point, I feel like the smaller your team, the more creative you can get, assuming you're not trying to make money and you have the time/skills/stubbornness to do it yourself.

I found the LEGO Dreamerzzz map to be pretty fun, was like a team deathmatch score attack kind of thing where your team's score would increase/decrease depending on how many objectives your team held, had no comeback mechanic though so once your team is losing people usually just left instead of hanging around, LEGO Fortnite's combat isn't amazing but it worked well for a fairly short chaotic map :)

About the LEGO brand protection issue, they are so worried about it that they REMOVED custom names in LEGO Odyssey. Now you have to use names from the pre-set list of goofy ahh names for your animals and bases. Seems like an idiotic change since you can still build “interesting” symbols in the game anyway…

2:37 Lego has done stuff with horror before specifically in video games. Lego dimensions was horror slightly, I mainly am just referring to 2015 and Lego dimensions. The Doctor Who level scared the shit out of me as a kid with the weeping angles part of it. They had the special death animation also the space hub world creeped me out same for Lego Batman 3 and the moon and green lantern planet. Also unrelated but I’m suprised how little has been done with ninjago and Fortnite. Hopefully this chapter and the Japan theme will change that it’s just that ninjago has over 15 seasons to pull from.

LEGO Fortnite Creative is NOT DEAD. Despite the lack of builds you can use, that still doesn't mean the shop is forcing you to buy builds, there's plenty of pre-made builds and options that you have earned from LEGO passes or already have in your inventory for free. There's also a lot of room for experimentation so that you can figure out what works and what doesn't. As much that some gamers want violent or unlicensed themes in their modes, I'd rather just follow with the rules and only come up with something that is appropriate and friendly for all players. And if they don't want to play my mode, then that's completely fine, and I hope that they can find or make something that interests their tastes. To make fresh and interesting LEGO Fortnite Creative modes, creators have to think outside of the box of what the norm is usually bringing out that later on becomes stale, there has to be uniqueness. As for LEGO Fortnite Brick Life was made for a younger audience and to make you feel as if you're playing inside of a giant dollhouse. It's simple, easy to navigate for starter players and doesn't feature heavy or graphic violence. Plus chat is allowed for party with voice/microphone or with their implemented text-to-chat feature. This is a zone which allows you to take a breather or break from the action-packed LEGO Fortnite Odyssey in case you need a change of pace or something to relax and chill with. Lastly don't even bother with the low player numbers, like I said before: everyone has their own tastes. Even if creators have made a brand new custom mode that turns out to be very popular, having to look back and forth at your player count may seem like a good thing, but the more you monitor that number it leaves you with some concern that when it starts to drop, you lose confidence and eventually lack of doing future support for their said mode. I'm not saying here as to give up, but to keep trying out new ideas and seeing what the player audience thinks or wants to see.

LEGO isn't the dead part. It's Creative as a whole. I have seen some absolutely wonderful maps that feel like full games. Rougelikes, COD Zombies maps with good graphics and first person, and just a bunch of unique ideas. But some of the BEST maps I have on my favorites, have like 0 players, 5 players, SOMETIMES 100 lol But 300 copy pasted Red VS Blue? Even so many from the same creator 🤪 It's so close to being the ideal Creative Experience in line with Roblox, but Fortnite players are obnoxious and sit on Twitter like "NOBODY LIKES THESE MODES ITS A SHOOTER" 🤓

I joined the Fortnite creative program to create cool LEGO islands but quickly found out how restricted things were. I found ways to create my own custom models via porting from mecabricks to blender to UEFN, making size checks along the way to make them 1 to 1 to the prefab scaling, but was told by the moderation team that if I was to use these then I would quickly be moderated.

Sounds about right, sadly. Doing anything that potentially comes even slightly close to infringing on a brand they're actively collabing with will usually get hit sooner than later. I had a TMNT inspired map that was up for months without issue, then a couple days before they announced their official TMNT Creative collab, they struck me with a cease and desist just because I had TMNT in the name.

Most of the stuff from Odyssey and Brick Life are not in bc the Lego UEF and was made on the battle royale islands template while using the Lego character plug-in but the odyssey doesn’t you can tell by when you email it when you email out as a Lego in the US and islands your email sticks to where it is when you unequipped enough but I don’t wanna do it in the official Epic Games Middle Lego stuff doesn’t also the inventory is different so if to port the stuff from odyssey and brick life to Creative, now they have to remake it completely, which I don’t think they thought ahead of that because that’s a lot more process. If they just made it on the original Brooke life in odyssey version like they do with all the other ones we want to have a doubt this problem they can put it right over. It wouldn’t be a problem you know what it’s because they wanted to be like battle Royale version so all the Battle Royale peiple and play the Maps.

The issue with the modes and their creative versions is that no one wants to put in an effort to make a good and fun map, the ones you show are great but are overshadowed by ai maps and Lego only up The best example I could give of this is racing, the community could’ve made really cool and unique races but instead made “Racing Only Up 2” This all stems from epic not monitoring the environment they are trying to foster, and it really sticks, amazing things can and have bern done but they are very rarely shown Overall, I’m hoping epic really cracks down on maps and map makers because it is very unfortunate the way it’s turned out as of now

While I do agree the whole community would be stronger without them, that is definitely not objective, by definition. As a card creator? I don't know. As a content creator? Yes. If you make over $300 in a year doing just about anything, and you live in the States, you're paying taxes... Unless you make enough money to pay a really good tax expert to figure out all the "loopholes" you can use to not have to pay any.
