Thanks ToolScouter for the very patriotic project! Magdad 357 just did a utility knife. It inspired me to do one also and i have just about finished it but the humidity is slowing down my paint drying time as it has rained for 2 days here in Iowa. Keep the great projects coming sir. @@toolscouter Thanks! We are having BBQ chicken and corn on the cob. If the rain cooperates, we will get to see a fireworks show, but the forecast is 40% chance. 🤔🤔. Don't know the date but it looks a lot like the Plumb Lathing Hatchet in the 1927 catalog but also in the 1965 catalog, the 27 has USA under Plumb but the 65 doesn't, 65 calls it a lath hatchet and the 27 calls it lathing hatchet. They both show it with the waffle face. I wish all tools had the year stamped on them but a guess would be around 60-100 years old by just what little I could find.

I am working on exactly the same plumb 1/2 hatchet type except it’s how you mentioned with a longer beard, it also said Genuine Plumb…I know there is also Plumb Victory, not sure which is which but nicely done my man!
