Sir Tom had in his younger years already a beautiful voice. And mostly when people age, their voice gets a warmer and fuller sound if you take good care of your health. Added the timing and the love for music makes Tom where he is today. Still going strong. Salutes too.

@@GuantanamoBayBarbie2 Yes my bad I know George Jones passed away because Vince Gill and Patty Loveless actually sang a tribute to him after Vince told a little story about George Jones called Vince the nickname Sweet Pea. I don't know how or why he came up with that nickname for him but I thought that the story he told was adorable before they sang that song in tributes to George Jones's passing away. They sang "Go Rest High On That Mountain ". It was beautiful and he was very close to George Jones because he talked about him alot in many different ways and he actually broke down while he was singing and you can tell that George Jones was a very good friend of both of them. I forgot to edit it and thanks for reminding me I appreciate it. I love listening to the oldies and goodies sometimes because it brings back alot of memories and I grew up as a kid listening to all those wonderful artist and I still listen to them till this day. One of Dolly Parton's songs was sang at my wedding so very very long ago and the name of the song was "Rocking Chairs, Rocking Babies". That was one of her old songs but good ones. I also like watching some of the movies that Dolly Parton played in, and I don't know if you've ever seen it or heard of it because it's an old movie but I actually love the movie. I believe it's called "Rhinestone Cowboy". Dolly Parton and Sylvester Stallone played in it and it's an old movie but a good one . I know this has nothing to do with the topic on hand I was just thinking about it . Thanks for pointing that out for me though I didn't realize I did that or I would have edited it. I've watched quite a bit of clips and music today so I'm assuming it was about all the songs , the older county songs and artists if I'm not mistaken and some of the artist were Pasty Cline, George Strait, Hank Williams Jr..or Sr. I don't know why they didn't have Tammy Wynette on there because she also had a beautiful voice, and so many other talented artists and they're songs. I had never heard the song Autumn Leaves before. But as soon as she started singing, I got goosebumps and was just overwhelmed by the beauty of her voice. Look for Eva Cassidy's version here on KZbin. Best ever. BTW, that is not an Eva Cassidy written song, as she is credited here. It was written in 1945 by a French guy named Joseph Kosma. The original French title is “Les Feuilles Mortes,” as in "Dead Leaves," literally. Johnny Mercer wrote English version of the lyrics, Nat King Cole made the song famous. Eva Cassidy made it hauntingly beautiful. Deana Walmsley did a good job with it.
