Here's what some icons have to say about the book!!!
Ice-T: "Respect to Soren Baker for documenting the history of gangster rap in these pages. Some hate it. Some love it. But you can’t deny its brutal, hardcore honesty."
The D.O.C.: "History has so often been written by the victors, that you very rarely ever get the real story behind anything. So it’s really important to hear from the people that were there, which is exactly what Soren Baker shares in this book. He writes about it and he’s honest about it."
Xzibit: "Hip-hop changed the world. Gangster rap changed the narrative, and then changed the world again. Soren Baker has been a very integral part of documenting hip-hop on the West Coast for as long as I can remember. I don’t think anybody is more qualified to write this book."
Leslie “Big Lez” Segar: "Soren Baker has changed the perspective of gangster rap by putting his pen to paper. He has given hip-hop power, proven its potential, and made non-believers contemplate all of its possibilities. The truth in his writing leaves no stone unturned, something he's done again with The History of Gangster Rap. Soren doesn’t just champion hip-hop. He also reveals its flaws and its truths."

Buck was the "MAN" in N.Y when the Westcoast was running things. He was the ONLY N.Y rapper rapping but don't get the respect that he held down N.Y at that time. They only mention Nas & Big but Buck held it down💯💯💯

Enter Da Stage was a classic like Laren Hill album. One album and a classic in their respective time that catapulted them to the top of the world. His music and sound was a movement, and at this time he was surely one of the best and forever hip hop history...they dont make rapoers real like him these days. Shot out to Buckshot!

The mentality of Buckshot is what was in hip hop of the 90's! And it is the difference between the bullshit c(rap) music now. The whole production of how Buckshot and the boot camp click put shit down is legendary! They even taught niggas like me how to rock the dopest outfits by their videos the real army fatigues with boots not wit no dam running shoes or forces. Everytime i get a chance to here my favorite rappers speak candid its like my so called blunt to the head feelin. I swear im hollerin Buckshot Buckshot just like the Enta da stage song. They bullshitted blackmoon in the beginning. I guess that explains The reason why it took me so dam long to see the remix of Buc em Down the video for the first time around 2006. Man i love everybody that was apart of the Duckdown Boot camp Click movement without them hip hop is not fun. Real talk

Priority was actually robbing artist on distribution and over charging them will socolov broke down the foul things bryan Turner allegedly was doing he treated jay-z and dame like trash . He was over charging for distribution and double charging for shipping to retailer . Bryan was going to advance jay-z his own money to do another deal. Will socolov and Bryan Turner stop being friends over that.

But Buckshot is better than Nas today, go listen to Rise of the Moon & listen to Nas latest album…Buck still keeps it grimy without trying to conform to this new generation like Nas did….I feel Buckshot & Rakim are the Greatest emcees ever in hiphop.
