Thanks, you made it very easy to understand without going through finding the internal forces of each member separately, which is a bit confusing lengthy way...bless you.

For AB and BC, you took Anticlockwise as -ve But for member CD you took Anticlockwise as +ve Why so? I'm also confused with the sign convention. Please help me out here.
@CivilEnggLectures6 жыл бұрын
I think you are talking about CE.. For AB and BC I chose left to right direction, in which clockwise will be positive and Anticlockwise is negative.. For CE I chose right to left direction in which anticlockwise moment will be positive and vice versa. Go to my channel, see my video on sign convention for internal forces.

At 11:00 why did u take vertical loads zero in virtual diagram ?
@CivilEnggLectures7 жыл бұрын
damiya akhtar cos no vertical reactions are developed..
@damiyaakhtar24977 жыл бұрын
Firoz Nadaf Sir pls tell me when you drew virtual load diagram u ignore udl and point load and only take virtual load at D Why is it so?
@damiyaakhtar24977 жыл бұрын
I get it Thank u sir
@CivilEnggLectures7 жыл бұрын
damiya akhtar we are taking unit load... cos unit load is not having any effect on work done.. it is only 1 multiplied to delta... If you take load on virtual diagram..it will not give you a clear pucture thereby distorting the result.
