Unit Prefixes - A Level Physics

Prefixes are often used to simplify physics calculations. Micro, centi, kilo, mega, giga, and tera are all examples of prefixes that we often use in A Level Physics. Make sure you know how to convert from one unit prefix to another.

Pls i have a question if you could help me. Converting 5um into m.. i saw you multiplying, but should you be dividing since you're changing a small unit to a bigger one ?

5 micro-meters = 5 x 10^-6 meters Notice how I'm multiplying by 10 raised to a power of a negative value, which makes it a smaller number
