United Nations props up ‘dangerous woman’ making disturbing claims on Israeli war

Sky News Digital Editor Jack Houghton has labelled United Nations Special Rapporteur for Palestine Francesca Albanese “dangerous” after her address at the National Press Club.
The UN expert tried to make a legal framework for why Israel was wrong to respond to the crimes of Hamas.
“Albanese, who is supposed to be an impartial observer and advocate for the region, made the case that Israel is an occupier, therefore, has no jurisdiction for retaliation,” Mr Houghton said.
“This woman is dangerous and the fact the UN props her up and our National Press Club books her as a speaker is absolutely insane.
“Not only were Albanese's comments appalling and widely condemned by the Jewish community, they were actually fundamentally revealing.”

What makes her argument of Israel being an occupier more vile is the fact that Israel wanted to be rid of Gaza, but Egypt would not take it back: In 1978, as part of the Camp David accords, Israel agreed to give back the Sinai Peninsula and tried to make it a package deal including Gaza. Technically as an occupier had a problem of policing, not a military problem with Gaza as an aggressor nation. After decades of failing to protect Palestinians from the foreign funded and trained gangs within the occupied zones, Israel then used the gangs attack on Israelis as an excuse to wage a retaliatory war under the idea of self defence. True self defence would have involved policing the terrorist gangs. It’s like the USA declaring war on Italy in response to the Mafia’s murder of civilians within the USA. In that case the USA would have a legal escalation to war, because it had no occupation presence in Italy. But still failure to prevent Mafia murders on us soil, is a matter of poor policing. The UN Rules are arcane because the UN system is dominated by the lunatic nations who control the Security Council - more than one of which (uSAnd UK being the most obvious) actually is effectively owned by Israel and diasphoric Jews. That is why every UN General Assembly’s effort towards restraining Israel’s heavy handed behaviour as occupiers has been thwarted by Security council veto members. Had Israel had cooperatively provided Palestinians with the means to themselves address the rise of Hamas and willingly exclude Hamas from Palestinian Territories, the existential threat to Israel would be much reduced. But the UN Security Council’s veto of General Assembly Resolutions has encouraged Israel (and the Palestinians) to adopt an us vs them mentality that gave room for Iran via it’s proxy Hamas to invade the occupied territories. Israel failed utterly in its international law responsibilities to protect Palestinians from foriegn invasion, and from terrorist gangs). In doing so Israel also failed to protect its own citizens. Some have argued that the current war is just a case of just another Zionist war of oppression, economic snd social destruction usefully distracting the world from yet another land grab - in the West Bank. Calling the Israeli response to Hamas defensive, is like describing this woman’s words as being coherent. Israel had half a century to build peace in the region, for a more than a century Zionists have been actively seeking conflict -never mind their rhetoric- they had the means to detect and destroy Hamas tunnels any time in the last couple of decades as a matter of routine policing. But by their economic blockade of Gaza they made those tunnels a necessary life line for Palestinians, and failed utterly to do the right thing which was to protect (as required in international law) the well being of both Palestinians and Israeli citizens. In the Middle East Game: Basically the score is warmongers (Zionists and militants) 10,000 points, civilians (Jews and Arabs, Christians and secular) just 10. And the UN as a referee is having a heart attack.

And then they are the invaders as well, and should cease fire? There was a cease fire until Hamas broke it on Oct. 7. After that, Israel gave several day's (now weeks) notice to civilians to vacate the north Gaza areas because of impending retaliation.
