I’d say HOI4’s bias towards Europe makes comparisons like this a little hard. HOI4 works well when your taking it in context as a WW2 game but it does have a little too much bias towards the European front in the base game.

Here's one to try: The Allies failed the invasion of Normandy, and were pushed back to reorganize in England. German could then focus a bit more against the Soviet Union, but would ultimately fail since the Soviets had seemingly limitless manpower. The Soviet Union would push the Nazis back across Europe, creating an Iron Curtain that wasn't in Eastern Europe, but rather on France's Atlantic coast. The E.U would win short of Nuclear M.A.D that Scenario is overkill. The European Union has the much larger Economy Industrial infrastructure population and Military capability. Not saying defeating the Russian Federation would be an easy task but a Combined European Union would undoubtedly defeat Russia outright or force them into an Armistice.

@@LookHereMars I quite doubt it. It will be a stalemate at least. Russia has the Russian Winter, the advantage of being well united and the fact they have little to lose. Indeed they can lose a lot of land, but that isn't worth that much compared to EU's one. Russia also can retreat to landlocked and polar ice-locked Siberia whereas the EU probably can only retreat to Spain and Ireland, both countries surrounded by sea and ocean. When more ice has melted and a sea invasion from the north is possible, the EU will defeat Russia with ease.
