Okay I love theorycrafting so I built a duo that could take down this boss in two turns: Klefki & Bisharp Turn 1 Klefki uses Foul Play to use of the Colbur Berry and do some chip damage, Bisharp sets up a Swords Dance. Turn 2 Klefki uses Defog to lower Bisharp's evasiveness, which does two things; it activates Defiant, boosting its attack two more stages, and doubles Lash Out's power since Bisharp had a stat lowered that turn. I'd say a +4 STAB 140 BP move off Bisharp's 125 base attack further boosted by a Life Orb should KO the boss. And even if it doesn't, there's no way it could kill these two before it goes down; they're both immune to Sludge Wave and Bisharp resists Shadow Ball, and both of these mons are decently tanky.

Easy way to do so: Take the defensive stats of eternamax eternatus, the ability skill link of cloyster. Basically with access to all generations you can have the maximum in every stat, and with skill link and a kings rock, you use moves like population bomb, icicle spear, and others to make sure your opponent never gets to move

Honestly in the future I wouldn't allow moves that let them copy your Pokémon, takes away the luster of them having to figure out what moves you have and if they can build a team to counter it, feels like a cheat instead of a beat.

That's true, but the first Pokémon to have the ability appeared in Gen 2 (Espeon, though Natu and Xatu would get it as well in Gen 5). Since Dylan was keeping fairly true to Kanto-specific things, though, Magic Bounce wasn't an option.
