I ordered two that arrived a couple of days ago. After two workouts I’m actually impressed. Theres six training modes i think, and some settings/modes make the resistance feel more imho. I like em that much I might buy another two …… much better than my maxpro actually. Makes me realise that the concentric only on the maxpro really does make it an inferior product

Does the resistance feel as good as the Speediance? I already have a gym monster, but I am thinking about also getting the new Pump Max for supersets, additional weight for things like deadlifts, higher setup for pulldowns, wider setups for flys, etc. But i wonder the resistance might not feel as good.
@hybridresistance16 күн бұрын
It's feels pretty good, but the battery life and having to use an app is what killed this thing for me. I actually have another product that I still have to review that is very similar that's pretty cool.
@Tiger1016.16 күн бұрын
@@hybridresistance Interesting. What is the other product? The Unitree Pump Max that is ~1 month away from delivery seems to fix all of the complaints with their previous models. It also seems like the only semi portable option that I am aware of that can be moved off the floor, with a wireless remote start and stop, and have the two units be controlled and synced with each other (this last part is a feature they have just added according to their commentary on Kickstarter). And although, I would be better off with 400lbs, I could make 300lbs work by continuing to use the Pump Strength Lifting Hooks and dumbbells work for adding extra weight for things like deadlifts. The Maiak Go caught my attention because I don't really need the battery. But it seems it will lack a wireless remote, which is what drove to Speediance as I think they have the best solution for this so far.
@kriswempa51712 жыл бұрын
It's cool that we're seeing more and more of these devices come up. They seem to all have some issues. For example, The Max Pro looks cool, but it only has concentric tension. The Unitree Pump Kickstarter site makes this claim: A fully charged PUMP will take you through a week worth of full workouts. At 100% battery, the PUMP can last 1,000 reps at 22lbs (10kg) or 500 reps at 44lbs (20kg). That’s enough to keep you going all week, with efficient charging to get you back to capacity in no time. Your test did not seem to support this claim.

Yes, the battery is not good for practical use. But I will say I'm still having fun with it and actually using it as superset with my Total Gym.

Couldn't you increase the Pump's resistance from 44 pounds by simply attaching it to a Mutt Bar (which come in 11, 22, 33, 44, 55 and 66 pound sizes). This would also allow you to do all sorts of two-handed exercises with the "Mutt Pump" as it were...

Hi, Can you select one load for the concentric contraction and another load for the excentric contraction ? I am looking for equipment that would allow me to put double the weight on the eccentric phase of the movement compared to the concentric phase during each repetition.
@hybridresistance Жыл бұрын
No unfortunately you can't do that.
@mreverybody11507 ай бұрын
The closest to what you asked would be the Synapse CCR.
@slaes7 ай бұрын
@@mreverybody1150 Thanks ! I didn't know this tool. I already have some sailling pulleys, so I can make one myself. Otherwise, the Unitree pump can overload the eccentric phase. I bought 2 of them. You can make the concentric phase being reduce by a pourcentage compared to the eccentric phase. If you select the maximum reduction (50%) and the maximum load (20kgs), you will have 10kgs on the concentric and 20kgs on the eccentric. You can select the reduction between 1 and 50%, and the load between 5 to 20kgs. Personaly, I always work on eccentric 20%. The sensations are insane ! You can thus work equally qualitatively the two muscle actions ! It's a very cool device ! Worth it price.

I would like to see someone make one that combined a motor together with the twist resistance tech used by OYO (Nasa SpiralFlex) and Ancore, Then the motor would give you a smart variable resistance of 20kg. While the Spiral Flex gives you the heavy analog start weight.

My ex got those recently. A pair, you can double up the resistance or do exercises bilaterally. Kind of interesting, resistance is pretty good. Long term, probably not too worth it. If you've got money to burn, maybe. But I doubt they will hold up long term.
@hybridresistance2 жыл бұрын
Biggest thing for me is the reliability. If this thing can hold up what I'm about to put it through, it's worth it for what it does and what it feels like.

I sure wish you could have put a meter on it to see what the weight actually is when it says 44 lbs. I watched another video where it was like less than 35 lbs when it said 44 lbs.. Since they gave it to you it would be nice if you could test that. I guess I could order it and check this and then send it back because cuz no one testing this will do this test.
