I watched the "upgrading trees to HDRP" part in 0.25 speed, and followed it step by step, was extremely helpful, thank you so much :D

Damn great stuff, I'm so stuck on terrain for my game I just don't know to go around it since the map is a village, so I don't know if the road areas have to be carved out using the same terrain tools or not...

You can just make 2 new materials, one for the logs and one for the leaves, and then assign them to the trees, and apply the textures to the materials. Use alpha clipping on the leaves' material at about 0.1-0.2 for a better result! :D

Very impressive work you are doing. Well done! It's way too complicated for my semi fossilized brain but it's very interesting to see different ways of creating terrains. I tend to stick with simpler solutions as my time is limited and I could never remember all the processes involved as terrain building is only a part of a vast array of processes involved in creating games or simulators. If you are interested check out a project I am working on called Train Simulator DSME Production Preview on KZbin. The trees I created the hard way point by point and assembled branches and trunks so that there were slight differences in some of the trees. Really basic stuff compared with what you are doing. Keep up the good work!
