Can you print from the ipad to a printer that is physically connected to a Mac? The printer we have doesnt have wifi and only supports Mac not iOS

Apparently I’m doing something wrong because its not working for me. I have a iPad Pro 2021 and a 2018 MacBook Air. I wanted it as another monitor to work on as another display. I use both devices writing, researching and for Zoom meetings. I set my Air up so I am not bombarded with social media stuff and notifications. I just purchased the Sir this year making sure it was compatible. I intended to use my tablet with illustrating my children’s book and use my Air for writing and research. It’s just not working for me and I dunno what I am doing wrong. 😢

Can you use MacOS apps on the iPadOS and vice versa using this feature? Like if I want to use macOS photoshop to iPadOS using universal control, can I do that? Or does universal control only work for file dragging and navigation controls?

I got Universal Control and when I try to type from Macbook to my iPad, the Command key just doesn't work. Is it just me? Like when I try to copy and past with Command key, etc. it just doesn't work

I’m not sure. It may just be a small bug with it being a beta
