It just doesn’t feel the same for like the others said censored deaths and in my opinion too much civilization Jurassic park just feels right on an island The Lost Worlds Bull T. rex in San Diego was just enough and was done well, and Jurassic world was pretty good on that too they stayed on an isolated island stuck with a Monstrous Hybrid dinosaur, although I feel they leaned a little to into the movie monster killing machine and less of a Real Animal, Rexy Despite killing and or trying to kill humans never acted like a monster she acted like a wild animal hunting prey like a cat chasing a mouse that ran like the car chase scene, she was confused and curious like before figuring out Alex and Tim were in the car she didn’t outright attack it until the light in her eye and the screaming and she didn’t even know if the car was edible she kept testing if parts of it were food after she flipped it biting and tearing off metal and chewing on tires she even looked mildly confused with the tire but that’s probably me overthinking the new movies leaned way away from just animals to humanizing them and making things like the Indoraptor that literally smirked when it tricked a guy into its cage and again the censorship of deaths and too many comedy scenes and in my honest opinion in the Giganotosaurus attack it was way to slow moving and while it acted like a normal animal and was killed In arguably the most unnecessary ways possible it was treated like the villain for literally no valid reason, but I’m sorta ranting at this point, the main thing I believe is we need to go back to the island theme or just little to No civilization and see less human like dinosaurs behavior.

@@robertbench5187 the original did not have blood or gore. you don't need that stuff to build tension. Good writing builds tension not movie blood and gore. Most important thing to build tension is having a fresh cast of characters who you know might be killed off- when you know someone is not going to die due to plot armor it reduces tension. another concept is "suspension of disbelief" The more you overwhelm the audience with "threats" the less you can place your self into the situation and see yourself surviving. Movies think you need to overwhelm the audience with spectacle but the more you take the sequence outside of the laws of physics the more your brain will subconsciously register that you won't survive. Our brains can tell what threat is without thinking about it- you look over the edge of a cliff and your brain automatically knows how far is too far to jump. We understand many sequences without thinking about them since predator prey instinct is one of our most basic instincts. however, if you throw too many threats to quickly or make the threats to dangerous (such as making the predators super predators who are unstoppable) the original kept the threats within reason- the sequence with the Raptors stalking the children and later the others was not so over the top- the raptors were smart but not supper intelligent, they could smell and see and reason but still be tricked. A good JP movie survival sequence needs to have a cat and mouse sequence with each battling the other wits (or human wits vs dinos power and size) Instead, we get the JWs movies with 1 million things happening at once all while a volcano is exploding and millions of killer locusts are taking over the world.

Cooper got attack by the spino offspring but the three killed it. That was the first roar and why it sounded smaller compared to the following roar. 3. All three got the spino offspring scent. 2 goons returned to the plane. Ensuing scuffle transferred also the scent to the rest of the gang. 3. Spino follows the gang down with a vengeance. Using the offspring scent to track them. Knowing/headcanon this now makes the movie more epic

Dr. Grant really was the best character in the movie. A deadpan snarker completely bitter about being in the worst place in the world. Just like the real Sam Neill.

I'm not an native english speaker and I barely understand english movies such as this when I watched it during my childhood. I watched it solely because of the dinosaurs. Now that I'm a grown man and able to understand the story of this thing, I'm kinda thinkin about rewatching these series.

Im a little biased to be fair, the Spino was my very favorite and I would always watch this movie because we had the DVD. Yes, it has its problems, but you gotta admit its different from every other JP movie. Plus, it has awesome dinosaurs, awesome dinosaur scenes, great looking dinosaurs, what more can you want?!

I love how both JP and JW trilogy both has 3 movies each. But i really enjoyed the third Jurassic Park movie more than i enjoyed the third Jurassic World. This proofs that nothing beats the old. The only thing i loved about Jurassic World Dominion is that Alan Grant and the rest of the original cast including Ian Malcolm and Ellie Sattler returns. Especially when Alan and Ellie comes back together.

Question: 4:15-4:19 why was Spinosaurus looking through the window (most of us probably either noticed when it first came or didn't notice until we were all abit older) and when Amanda screamed after she saw it did her scream scare it off or alerted the dinosaur to humans on the plane? But I'm surprised that it disappeared quickly after she screamed and when Nash and Udesky turned towards the windows after hearing her screams but by that time it was gone.
