@@NekiShh no, that deleted scene takes place right in the middle of a scene that's already in part one (when Elphaba is about to board the train to the Emerald City), and is included with the film. There are also a couple other deleted scenes that everyone has seen, they're included with the film and are elsewhere uploaded to KZbin, that were not in this compilation either.

@@morellinhoo it was released as a deleted scene though, it's included with the film. It's just not featured in this compilation. Also, plenty of scenes in this compilation are unfinished.

I really wish they’d kept that first scene, especially since it seems like all the special effects were already done (which makes me think it was a last minute cut). I just feel like the lion cub scene is such a pivotal moment for Fiyero and Elphaba and it’s one of the few scenes that almost feels longer in the stage musical than in the play. Also, it have one of my favourite exchanges between the two: “You think I’m really stupid, don’t you?” “No…not _really_ stupid.”

This is definitely not "ALL". They cut off the end of the train deleted scene, and it's missing Elphaba's Promise and the two deleted scenes at the train station entirely.

@@ThexImperfectionist it was INSANE to cut Elphaba's promise. As someone who hasn't seen the play or read the novel I could feel there was some connective tissue missing. 😔💚🩷💚

@thunderverna if you can find it, there's a clip of Jon talking about how much they went back and forth and why they ultimately cut that scene. I hate that he's right bc I love that scene so much (it's not in the stage show either) but his reasoning makes a lot of sense

It's actually missing a few still, this is not all of them. Missing some train scenes, a scene with Elphie and Glinda before the wizard's invite arrives. The Elphie and Glinda one missing is a REALLY great scene too :(.

​@Fnaf_studios123 It's not in the broadway but it's a confirmed deleted scene from the film. It was basically a montage of Elphaba, Glinda, Fieyro, Nessa and Boq hanging out in the woods, and during that montage Fieyro takes his shirt off to show off his muscles and Boq imitates him lol. The director has said that they may use that montage in part 2, so that's why they haven't released it.

it's interesting how some of these scenes weren't finished, which means that the editing process of deciding what to put in the movie is such an active process, like they don't just make the whole movie and then decide what to cut, they decide to cut something because they can tell it won't work without needing to finish editing the scene

0:00 to 1:24 this deleted scene I think would’ve added another really sweet moment in the movie 1:25 to 2:43 would have made an interesting scene for the movie and I think that would’ve been a cool intro for the song One Short Day 2:45 to 4:02 i feel like this scene is just an excuse to hear Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo scream a bunch 4:03 to 4:30 this deleted scene would have been a great way to introduce Ariana Grande’s character’s friends 4:32 to 6:00 this delete scene i guess would have been a different introduction for Jonathan Bailey’s character 6:01 to 7:03 this i think would’ve been an interesting break in the song popular 7:04 to 8:13 would’ve been a cute little montage. I’ll be waiting for them to arrive in the Emerald city.
