Loving this video! Coming to reading in September (planning too) and struggling with accommodation finding , like I’m quite sociable and don’t want all my money going to accommodation but I NEED a decent en-suite. Prices at Reading and so much more expensive than they are at places like DMU in the West Midlands! But I’m so drawn to the uni💕💕

I was at Wantage. We would look down upon you riff-raff. Childs was a real dump back in the day. It's since been rebuilt.

Thanks this was really helpful as Im planning to live in one of those but not sure which campus they gonna put me in. btw how long to the city centre? and would u recommend living in the city centre instead? I'm only doing master so 12 months max

a lot of my friends actually got a flat in town centre and tbh there's a bus roughly every 7 mins taking you straight ON CAMPUS from town and the trip is only like 15mins from the train station. I would definitely recommend you live on campus in halls. there are a lot of master students living in halls and the uni always tries to group you together so its not like you will be put in a flat with freshers. but at the end of the day its your call😊😘

kendrick hall is very social we actually went there quite a few times for pres!! its off campus and like a 15min walk but its really close to the campus gym if you plan on signing up and also very close to town centre! The rooms are bigger that the rooms in Stanton or Childs and mackinder but again its off campus so its all up to you!❤️

Also, does Reading area, and the Uni support diversity? I'm a young, black girl who's a bit sceptical about being in a different place, so far away from my home, family and friends. Nkesi Okandu omg babe don’t worry at all this uni is very diverse!! To give you an example union which is the club on campus has three rooms and one of them (r&b room) is predominantly black people hahaha of course us white people come and crash the party but yeah hahaha this to say the black community is quite large and established and also me being gay and one of the minorities I do still feel very welcome and accepted most of the time. Of course there are those occasional homophobic straight guys but those are everywhere😂

Hi babes, well I have some friends that live in st. Georges and they really enjoy it! I personally think the rooms and kitchen are nicer than McCombie or Greenow which are both on campus, however the downside of St. Georges is that its off campus so you'd have to walk a bit more to get to your lectures whereas Greenow and McCombie are as I said on campus in park group which is basically got park bar if you wanna get drinks or have lunch/dinner, a laundry mat, post office... And trust me being on campus is a big yes!! xx Let me know if you got any other questions
