We often talk about the benefits of alternative fuels, especially in fleet applications. And our most recent trip took us back to school at the University of Texas, where we got a higher education in the practical use of clean energy!

Sorry but this is one of the dumbest examples of virtue signaling I’ve seen in awhile. They’re in one of the largest oil producing states in the union…and they’re using an EV. AND where do they think that electricity is coming from anyway….

The less oil they use, the more they can export, and the more money the state makes from taxes in return. Texas is great for solar power anyways.

Come on MW... how big is your EV altar now? Stop pushing the EV/alt energy vehicles on everyone. If you were honest about it, you'd admit that EV's are not clean energy when factoring in the production and what it takes to make the batteries.

Most Universities have a fleet of F250s or equivalent for this stuff. Seems like money saved to me.

Electric is not the clean way to go. E fuel would be your best bet, just hope Porsche and Honda pull the act together for North America in 5 years!

Just watch Engineering Explained's video on the topic. They will be useful in niche applications but not for everyday people
