I'm going into my third year of studying Advertising and Public Relations at University of West London and I thought I have enough experience and information to be able to form an opinion regarding my university. Would I recommend it or not? Is it YAY or NAY? I guess you have to watch the video to find out :). Enjoy!

I don’t know much about the photography course, but yes, there is a photography course at UWL. For now, we still have classes online, but hopefully the restrictions will lift by the end of next year and you can enjoy face to face classes as well.

I know only one person who does Psychology. As far as I know, it’s more theory (obviously, since there is a lot of information that needs fo be known) and exams, unlike my course. I don’t know anything else, but I suggest you take a look on the uwl website

We have a visual effects course at uni, however I don’t know much about it. I know the Mac-studios and they are pretty good and the software available is great, but I couldn’t tell you more about it. I believe it would be a decent course :)

I can’t say anything for any course apart of my own. The teaching quality (again, in my course) is excellent. Uwl is number 1 in London for student satisfaction, so I would assume that the teaching quality is good overall, no matter what course you choose. It will probably be in the business school, which is a different campus then the one where I’m studying. I’ve never been on that one, unfortunately.

uwl are very generous they will accept grade below for the course, I would recommend Brunel uni for biomedical as Brunel is most popular for sciences courses

My experience at UWL after completing the two years in Early Years, the wonderful teacher on my third refused to mark my paper which weighed %30. This led me to leave my third year and pause it for now. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There are really good teachers but one CAN ruin it for you and it did for me.

They are not providing a placement after graduation - however you can choose a course that includes 1 year of placement and then yes - they will help you find it, but they will not provide it

Hi, there isn’t one that I know of. There are a few smaller scholarships & bursaries, but they won’t cover even half of the price for one year..

Hi. I don’t think you did your best in finding a job yourself in the first place. There is the career team, where you can have regular appointments and check ups to help prepare for interviews, work on your cv & cover letter. There’s the student hub where regularly there are new jobs posted exclusively for UWL students and graduates. Yes, they are not going to find a job for you, however you have all the resources necessary and if you’ve done a good job throughout the 3 years of university you should find a job pretty easily.

As far as I know, all the courses have the same price, but that might have changed due to Brexit. Unfortunately, I don’t have any information on this, but I’m sure if you would ask the university directly they will be more then willing to help you

It depends a lot of where you see yourself working in terms of industry. To be honest, I am not at all educated when it comes to the options of masters in the UK, so I might not be the perfect person to answer that question. However, there are many people at UWL who would be more than happy to help you make a decision.

Anmol Kakkar as part of one of our modules, we got to work with Fashion Branding & Marketing (i know it’s not the same thing) and I can’t say much about it, it’s just extremely different than ours (obviously). Much more practice, a little bit more theory as well. Overall, a very interesting course, but you should check out the website as well for more information

It depends a lot on the course and on the teacher. For Ad & Pr, we never had more than 3 days per week, because our teacher knew that most of us work part-time and she wanted us to have as many free days as possible. You could have classes every day as well in other courses, but it will definitely not be from morning to evening. Just a couple of hours. You can see how many modules you have depending on the course on the uwl website and then try to put 3 hours per module weekly.

No, definitely not for projects. Any extra fees will only be required for extra activities. (Like trips, events & so on).

If the six modules are per one semester, then yes, you’ll roughly have about 18 hours/week. But if they are per year, you will only have half of that. Ealing is perfect both for finding jobs and living. It’s a lovely area and prices are not that high.
