I’m still in jc, but everything you said just hits home!! Watching all my seniors start UNI like just these 2 weeks, they’re already stressing out and exams are rolling in, kinda makes me very nervous when my time comes… Listening to you really feels like taking advice from my older sister AHAHA!! It’s so informative and definitely has a lot of heart and soul to it. Law school has always seemed to attractive to me and honestly, if I were ever to be offered the degree, man I would take it with no doubt. But listening to you, it’s really allowed me to take a step back and realise the reason I want what I want! Like you said, things change! Who knows where I’ll be 1 year from today but seeing you so so happy in Finland, though I’m sure year 1 you might have not seen this coming, I have faith it’ll all be okay! All the best in whatever life may lead you to do Charlene!

Hi Judith! I am sorry for the late response but it was so heartening reading this. Don't let this scare you or anything, but i think having some time to reflect and think always helps before making big decisions. AND YES. it's really crazy how things can change and sometimes you just are placed in the right place at the right time, even if u may not know it. It sounds a little bit cliché, but i think life becomes abit easier even if you have to create some sort of meaning and purpose behind certain things on your own. All the best with JC (i really miss my JC times hehe) and A levels and uni when your time comes 😊😊😊

Hi! it's rlly cool to see how much you've grown and reflected during and after law school. And it must have taken quite long for you to edit this video heh I think what you've said is true ESPECIALLY what you said at 15:30...Practice/work is a whole different ball-game which requires a very different attitude/approach as compared to when we were just students in university. It's really about trying because you never know until you try things for yourself. And I'm currently still trying to find my own way too... Hope you enjoy your time in Finland and continue figuring out what you like/dislike and what kind of person you want to be :) Just curious, what non-law industry are you working in now?

The video took so long to edit because i was just blabbering for ages BUT thankfully it all came tgt somehow... But thank u so much for ur comment it's so nice to hear from u and I hope you've been good, esp with work and life in general 😌 But yea i always imagine work and practice to be so difficult from school. Even some of my peers taking part B already can point out how certain aspects (e.g. advocacy) is so different in uni vs being trained for actual court. Also! right now i'm working in a small business and consultancy company in the travel and lifestyle industry doing basically whatever they need. Backend stuff, marketing, website development, english content creation, some basic translations etc. Some minor law things like IP-related issues and sales agreements here and there too. BUT anyway. we can keep in touch on tele or insta i'm always updated with ur new posts hehe

Stay in Finland, get yourself a new citizenship there or something before you start giving good money to your CPF account. Please stay there for good as it’s a great country with good human rights records, good labour union and labour laws to protect you, pay you well and amazing scenery, natures and infrastructure.
