This great Roy Shirley tune has often been labelled as "Sampson Say" spelt with a P. fantastic old skinhead sound.
@chrismanning6753 жыл бұрын
How is this a Skinhead sound? This was made in Jamaica by Jamaicans. NO Skinheads were responsible for this product! They wasn't playing any instruments or singing harmonies. They NEVER mixed the song, so WHY attribute this to Skinheads? 🤔
@indy56243 жыл бұрын
@@chrismanning675 Where did i say skinheads were responsible for this product, it was a great old skinheard tune in terms it was what most craved for, it was largely do to the Mod generation for getting Ska more recognition ,plus the sound mellowed with Rock Steady, and then Skinheads that loved the sound of Reggae who made it their own, which in turn got it even more recognition and the demand grew for more of it at the time when Skinheads from early 68,69 and the beginning of the 70s, it was what they wanted along Motown and many 60s plus soul sounds, so before you go on about skinheads this or that, try looking up on why it got so popular back then with the first and original skinhead lads and lass`es who largely thanks to them got a lot of demand for Jamaican ,singers,artists over here in the uk performing .
