This song fits pre-Adventure 2 Knux so well. He used be the loner rival who would *occassionally* team up with Sonic. He was his counterpart. Speed vs Power, Freedom vs Responsibility, Unstoppable vs Immovable. ....then Shadow happened. No space for two edgy loners who are opposites to the Hero, especially when the latter was given too many flashy powers that make any new kid forget the gliding boxer echidna protecting an irrelevant jewel. Now Knuckles is just, the third one. He's Sonic's friend who is the strong one and gets angry. As much as I like Team Sonic, it would've been nicer for his character if the team wasn't such a *standard* in new games. If anything I would love to see him and Sonic argue more often like they used to. He is the Raphael to Sonic's Leonardo.

@@AgustinHaacker1026 From what I remember, Knuckles in early Sonic X was similar to his Classic counterpart but his "getting tricked by Eggman" shtick had be used a bit too much, ever since Adventure came out. One thing I liked most in X was his banter with Sonic (who was kind of an "annoying" Bugs Bunny-type which really works.) For the most part though, I just don't like post-Heroes Knuckles. Chronicles and Zero Gravity had the last good depiction of him. Every other time he's been a tagalong who's easily angered, gullible, and not bright. And that's when he's allowed to speak for himself, every other time he's just *there.* Like I said in some other video comment, I forget which, Knuckles would've been more useful for the stories if they would play on his knowledge of ancient ruins and mythologies, his ties to the Emeralds, and maybe write him out of the story by actually having him fight a huge amount of enemies instead being the Tristan Taylor of the group who always gets overshadowed by the more useful Tails, the tech wiz.

I like that "Lonerwolf" vibe of early Sonic X Knuckles, also Idw Knickles is really good too (at least in the first 30 issues which are the ones i've read); I don't know about his Archie counterpart, cuz i haven't read them, but seems nice. On the other hand about the "Being Tricked by Eggman" thing it was interesting the first time, but at this point is simply stupid keep going with that ¡¡is no even funny!! @@AgustinHaacker1026 For it not being your native language, you're English is not bad at all, friend. I still have a soft spot for Shadow. Nowadays he's textbook angsty teenager who sulks and relies too much on the edge factor, but Adventure 2 and Heroes's use of the character were really good and introspective. Sonic Battle made him regress a bit by making him more pessimistic but his dedication to uphold Maria's ideals were still admirable and he actually cared for Emerl (even if he could already predict his fate.) Shadow the Hedgehog (the game).......it certainly happened. The only saving graces were the very last cutscene where he decides to stop clinging to his past and forge a new path. Throughout the rest of the game he is either boring, more gullible than Knuckles, needlessly hostile, and sometimes psychotic. Finally, 06's Shadow was actually amazing. Team Dark were the highlight of the game for having the best and most interesting relationship (even Omega!) Mephiles also helps to test Shadow's resolve in the face of impending doom (for the world and his own sake.) Rouge and Omega though are just the best friends to Shadow in this game. Also GUN agent Shadow was such a brilliant idea.
