Being kind, shouldn’t come with the expectation that it will be returned, I too had to learn that. Being kind and nice is done because you want to, not for a reward. And I agree, that saying no was very hard for me. Ppl took advantage if me for a good chunk of my life because of it. Now I’m teaching my children, it’s okay to say no if it feel right to do so..

Saying No is probably the biggest and most powerful skills you can have in any given situation. It always annoys me when someone clearly wants to say no but doesn’t just to please everyone.

What Loni said reminded me of what Jeannie had to learn, sadly some people no matter how nice you are to them it won't be reciprocated. I also agree with Jeannie, there are many who have college degrees and still find it difficult to find work in their fields. It depends on the person but its definitely something to think about.

Being scared to say no put me in so much dangerous situations. I have this terrible fear of disappointing people. I need freedom so I need to learn to say no

I un_brainwashed myself how I approach issues with other people. I no longer stay quiet I respectfully speak. I'm still working on saying "no". I don't like to make others feel bad lol

I agree with Loni and Adrienne....I am a definitely a mix of the two and I recently realized some of this. Although I dont practice asking for help from people because I tend to be soooooo self sufficient but I did have the expectation of help when I was in a low place and I never got it....very disappointing. So I have had to unbrainwash myself...yup....💯💯

In my opinion, no means a complete sentence. Whether it's family or friends/loved ones. You always say I'm sorry, unable to make it or I'm sorry, I don't have it or sorry can not do it.

College Degree gives you confidence and a classic behaviour that without it does not give you and all you have is just the money but with a College degree there's a different air of confidence you carry about you and Class.

I feel confident just knowing that I could take care of my own and don’t need anything from anyone. I own a few houses I have a bunch of money in the bank and that alone makes me feel successful and great. College is just a waste of money you don’t need it now in days trust me there’s so many ways out there now to make money and to feel great knowing you didn’t have to waste years of your life in school and tons of money while doing it! I know people that went to college and got degrees and ain’t doing nothing for themselves. So that statement is a bunch of BS…….
