Loved seeing this. I'm having one of these installed Monday on my 2018 A6 Comp, due to my clutch burning up. Getting the Jackal stage 2 and TCU tunes as well.

Can you comment on belt slip and what effect the griptec had for you ? Not much info out there
@Wr3nchen27 күн бұрын
@Pwnulolumad Well, to start, my data log showed significant boost loss at higher rpm and I could only assume it was belt slip. Easy way to tell was the graph and how it dropped. I have a picture of it. DM me on IG and I can send it to you. With that being said Griptec was the only solution besides figuring out belts and data log showed a difference with it.

Do you have to remove the Supercharger and install on a bench?
@Wr3nchen7 ай бұрын
Yes, the supercharger needs to be removed. Once it's removed, you would need to uninstall the snout from the supercharger and go from there

Does this mod throw up a code /CEL? If so, can it be "deleted" via VCDS, or do I need a (custom) tune? My S4 is currently tuned by ABT via the piggyback computer, and would like to keep it if possible.
@Wr3nchen2 ай бұрын
@Dutch_Pancake Yes, this will have a check engine light. I'm not sure if you can code it out with VCDS. Mine is tuned, and they were able to tune the code off

The easiest way you will know is that the whine noise will sound different. You'll get a code for it. It's something obvious that will happen when it does

@@Wr3nchen because I have the JackalMotorsports tune and the clutch is always engaged. And recently I have notice that between 2000rpm nad 4000rpm when I kick down,it feels like the car is accelerating and then it stops for a 1sec and starts back accelerating again...

I have 2018 a7 competition stage 2 with 29.000miles. Should I do clutch delete now or wait ? Also did you also replace the supercharger oil in once ? Tks !
@Wr3nchen4 ай бұрын
@janbochnig3198 My opinion, regardless of what stage you go with, I would do the clutch delete. It may be good now, but eventually, it will go bad. My Instagram shows more of my supercharger. I wouldn't mess with the supercharger fluid ether but if you decide to go ported they typically replace it for you at VastAZ did for me. Also nice car man pretty sure that's pretty rare

Hello, my friend and thank you for the video! I have been watching your videos for a while now and I have a few questions as well. I am running Jackal stage 2 on my 2017 A7 CREC ,only the upper pulley from IE 58.8mm and I want to put 188mm down pulley from the original 162.55mm. I did notice when I put Jackal software that my clutch stopped engaging and disengaging which is good,but the car made only 430hp with upper pulley. My question is : 1. Is it safe to do this setup upper 58.8mm and lower 188mm ? 2. Most importantly will my clutch slip if I use 58.8mm/188mm without using GAS delete set up? I know you have done a lot for your a6 and you are my last hope of helping me. Thank you again !
@Wr3nchen9 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching! Jackal has the clutch engaged 100% of the time, which is good, but yes, eventually, you will run into slippage issues. GAS Billet is the way to go to resolve that, and Jackal will tune the car for you so you won't have a code. As far as power goes, I made 450hp on E40, running a 58.25 mm and a 187mm crank. My personal best for 1/4 was 11.3 at 122 mph. As far as it being safe, I'd say yes, just need to be sure to maintain your car

So I read you’re running an IE beta file tune for the dual pulley and ported blower/ throttle body. Questions…. Are they going to offer a tune for the GAS clutch delete? Are they going to also offer a tune for the dual pulley and or ported blower/ throttle body? I’ve contacted them about this and they basically stated they’ve moved on from this platform. Is that true? Or is it more of a who you know or case by case basis? I running stage 2 IE tune, but it’s only an upper pulley and that’s about it… I’ve got mods waiting to go on, but tuning seems to be hard to come by. HELP & Thank you for your videos!

Thank you for taking the time and watching my videos. CREC life is definitely complicated, lol. Check out my Instagram for all the latest stuff on my car if you haven't already. To start, yes, I'm IE beta dual pulley 187mm 58.25mm griptec pulley with autotech hpfp on E40. IE has stepped down for any support on the CREC well I shouldn't say stepped down but like you said moved on from this platform. I'm sure you can get my files but would need the supporting mods before they even release it to you. Btw the tb I have you can use and no tune is necessary it's from iabed industries. Jackal is probably the only company that is supporting the CREC platform so that maybe your best bet although I should say 034 is currently working on CREC files aswell so I'm sure they'll release somthing soon.

Hey are you on stock hpfp? And are you on E40 or 93? Also did you get it re tuned by anyone when you went ported supercharger or no? And what were your dyno numbers before the ported supercharger?

Autotech HPFP E40 dual pulley 187/58.25 Currently on IE beta dual pulley tuned with a ported blower. Never did a before dyno number, but I can say I make slightly more than a single E85 setup according to IE dyno numbers shown on their site

Nice video. Thanks for doing that. From their instal directions, some torque info “Once the Delete is installed on the shaft splines fully, install the provided 10mm washer and stover nut and torque to ~45nm. Install the clamping nut (the triangular part…) onto the Clutch Delete using the three provided 4mm hex screws, loctite and spring washers. Torque the three 4mm hex screws to ~ 12nm”.
