Three points to be added in India, i am the owner of 390 duke. 1. Cruise control is missing: competitor have added this on their vehicle TVS RTR 310 at a lower price 2. Original mirror missing: In the Indian market using dominar mirrors, the same mirrors are used in pulsar as well. 3. Headlight visibility is low.

We want an all new segment killer motorcycle from KTM in 500cc with "ready to race" tagline.If ktm make parallel twin cylinder engine and adds 58-62 bhp and 48-52 Nm of torque to their engine spec sheet,then it can rule the whole segment.Aprilia, Kawasaki, CFmoto, Yamaha, Honda none of them can compete.Btw we look forward to it.

What about a twin cylinder mid segment 500cc class KTM street bike? Around like 55+ hp and around like 45+ Nm of torque From 390 to direct 990 for the 2024 bikes 🙆 fill this huge gap in between Someone else will take that market if you are late. For example Aprilia 😎 see how they are filling in the gap before reaching the RS 660 with the 457 model

390 Duke is a home run. Been riding 48 years and I love mine. Picking up a SDR 1390 tomorrow, but the 390 Duke isn't going anywhere. The lightweight, quick handling, suspension, and power output (for what it is) are all great. Only thing I would say is I would prefer a little more front brake, though it is adequate. Switch gear is better than the abominations that are fitted to the SDR.

a 590 would fill a gap nicely but still, they arent out muscled at at all. They easily win the 3-400cc segment. Yes, a 500cc bike will have more power, but a 700cc will beat that, and so on. Saying a bigger bike is beating them doesnt mean anything. Its about winning your segment. Again, would love a 590 or something for the huge gap between a 390/790. Why not a 590 with 65-70 hp? I know emission laws and other things have shrunk the 600cc -ish segment but it just seems like such a big gap in the lineup. For the record, I bought one of these new 390's and I love it. It was hands down the best equipped option available in its class.

The product manager here says, he's sort of 190cms so he took him as a reference to explain the body panels in the bike to support cornering and stuff. I believe a 190cm rider should feel comfortable and I believe the ride height can be increased as well. They have some adjustment inside the seat to increase its height if I'm not wrong

US MODEL .Got mine a week ago. Right off the bat, nit even a mile from the dealer.. oil leak and engine stalls when downshifting from 6th to 5th. Dealer couldn't figure out whats wrong. Now the bike sits on the dealer for a week now.. i bought the bike for it just to sit at the dealer for them to figure whats going on. And also no quickshifter, i have to pay $800 (dealer changing not including labor) to have it on. I contacted local KTM and they're no help also. If only i can return the bikr for a full refund ill do it.

Yes they fixed the bike. They had the bike sitting on the dealership for almost 4 weeks due to KTM slow warranty process. That's according to the dealership. Then 1 month after getting the bike another problem , leaking coolant.. not just tiny leak, puddle of coolant on my garage floor

Brilliant Machine this , but KTM needs a 500cc twin cylinder configuration - Competition is heating up esp for RC 390- Ninja 500 & Aprilia 457 , if KTM makes a twin cylider 500cc , it will beat competition hollow , else make a duke / rc - 660cc , an engine configuration already available in KTM portfolio.

you should really hide the exhaust by adding a sump guard. have you seen dukes older than 3 year, the exhaust just rusts. imagine a huge exhaust with this much exposure, if it rusts, it will be really bad for the looks. i agree that you used same design language of higher dukes but you should have also used same metallurgy too!
