I use to race, late models,modifieds, and sprints for about 3 years, 16 to 19 I’m 20 now and I gotta tell you bud IT IS AN OUTTA THIS WORLD EXPERIENCE! Especially getting your first win…. It’s something you never forget, and the memories you build are amazing, I raced for my uncle, I was the driver and after each race and before each race I was helping work on it… god I miss it but I was expensive each weekend something was always broke after each race 😂

i never thought in a million years that I'd see you in a dirt track car..glad you did and glad you had fun..i've owned all makes of dirt track cars from a 4 cyl mustang and pinto to a "promod" with 975 horsie powers and a couple 410 sprint cars or "winged sprint"..it's a blast but it's deffenately expensive and that's why i gave it up..i was spending nearly a grand a week on fuel and pit passes etc..sendin some big ole rays of love and sunshine from Ala-damn-bama

Billy, I've done track. My biggest discovery - "turn before the turn" is often key. Another key - "a bit more power is almost always the best answer". You had a well balanced approach for 1st race. I was impressed.

As far as 1st Races goes. That was way better the average. Which is usually not ideal for the long game mindset that an inexperienced driver needs. Maybe try not to hit other cars or anything really. That contact you made (fairly early)in the feature at the very least gave that guy a flat tire and might have caused the trans failure. Hard to say for sure but you were showing some actual raw talent. Have you raced asphalt circle track or carts. It definitely looks liked you have some experience racing short track. Good job.

There was a dirt track speedway a few miles away from the house where I grew up in PA (Williams Grove Motor Speedway). I remember hearing the noise of the races at night in the summer when we had the windows open to catch the cooler air (no A/C back then). Watching this video brought those memories right back! So fun to see you racing, GB! Glad to see you'll be heading back for another shot at racing later this summer!
