heck yeah man. I'm super excited to see what you end up printing on it. Make sure to update the firmware as the latest resolves a lot of issues seen previously

I just printed as Giant Disney animated Alice in Wonderland Caterpillar 85hrs, 7kg, and it is like Christmas morning when my three little kiddos came up stairs and saw him. Over 5ft long they are all sitting and jumping and playing on him (hence the extras thick shell and infill to hit 7kg) in Polymaker’s PLA Pro. First real print 💯 successful ❤. What’s more impressive is how well it did filament changes because I used mostly half used years old spools so he is 15 fun colors too 😊.
@christopherd.winnan87014 ай бұрын
Did you dry everything in advance?
@MakerBees3334 ай бұрын
@@christopherd.winnan8701no, some it was quite humid from being in the garage, BUT Polylite Pro PLA doesn’t get brittle like some regular PLA does. If you have brittle filament you might have a bad time because the runout sensor is in a spot too far from the hotend. So your concern is definitely something to consider before running such big prints 👍

Hell yes. Im hooked. I have elegoo 4 plus . This is a game changer. Definitely hitting elegoo up for a demo version . Looks great . Hope to see lots more on this printer from you. We need to know 😮

I think I’ll be stealing that trick with the dial gauge. I’ve seen a few people get this printer but no-one prints anything cool. What about futuristic furniture or mind blowing marble mazes? I can think of so many cool things, now I just need the money for a giant printer.

Great video! Got my Giga in and have been running some nice prints off of it. I'd like to level it using a dial indicator also, would you be able to provide the link to that same dial mount you are using? Thank you!!!

Mine just came in yesterday. I purchased a runout gauge to help me level the bed as you did in this video. Where did you get the runout gauge adapter STL?

Do you think you could make a short video on using the runout gauge? Mine finally arrived and using a runout gauge would be better than spending hours running manual leveling over and over trying to get everything as close to zero as possible.

Hopefully you aren't plagued with problems like Joel was. I like the Elegoo machines, most of my machines are from them.
@WildRoseBuilds4 ай бұрын
I think Joel got a pretty early unit. I think a recent firmware release took care of most of them. fingers crossed as I embark on some larger prints though :)

Printer seems to be amazing but on every single video I can see that filaments are wraping like crazy , without enclosure it's impossible to print objects at size 25cm => , without wraping. Usually issue is the height so Z axisis , higher you get, more problems you will find like x^2
@christopherd.winnan87014 ай бұрын
Excellent showcase. Just a shame that the Max will soon be replaced by a cable-robot enabled setup. In the meantime, I challenge you to max out the build space with a carefully designed coin funnel wishing well. Put the resulting print in a high traffic location, and you should be able to pay for the printer in a week!

@@WildRoseBuildsjust ran mine for 85hrs! Not that bad, like running the dryer 3x … if you live in Germany or SoCal, or anywhere that is running extortion on utility companies it would be a cost because of “Peak” rates (using it at the wrong time of day). And if electric is that bad good luck with EV mandates 😱🫣
@MakerBees3334 ай бұрын
🫤… did Wildrose delete my first comment here or KZbin? In summary: it is not bad on electrical usage as it is still just a couple motors and heating elements like every other 3D printer.
@christopherd.winnan87014 ай бұрын
@@WildRoseBuilds - Please include this kind of info in the next video. With regard to the stool, a simple milkmaid stool is not much of a test for such a capable technology. Perhaps instead print off an ergonomically enhanced, adjustable kneeling chair. These are much more expensive, harder to find and more of a challenge generally.
