Good to see you. I am glad you are cautious. Could be anything from a lion to a pack of feral dogs. I don’t own a pistol, but I’d be tempted if I went out alone. Consider bear spray, at least. I know you would have to lug it, but it would work for lots of critters. Great rocks! Thanks.

Kim, I'd posted earlier, glad to see you're back after your nasty fall and injury. You have such exquisite taste in agates, jaspers and petrified wood. You and Theo Kellison find the best material out there. I visited a Yellowstone River gravel bar in 2015 and had no clue of the beauty that could be found there. I'm from NC and sharks teeth were my hobby as a kid, no pretty rocks around where I grew up. Then I watched one of your KZbin videos (and then binge watched) and was fascinated by your keen eye and your knowledge of the geology of Montana. So I started looking around and lo and behold, you had an Ebay store! So I saw some beautiful stuff and made some purchases, saw some more beautiful stuff and made some more purchases. I couldn't believe all the extras you gifted me with! The bismuth crystal, the leaf fossil, the bacculite with the ammolite, the agate slab with the parallax banding, the piece of jasper, and my favorite the gorgeous Montana agate that you said was "representative"❤. And the hand written notes that went along with everything you sent explaining what everything was ❤❤❤! I already had a Nat-Geo rock tumbler. But then I watched you slabbing rocks on Drogon. I reached out to you about a saw and you gave me a link to Covington. That was beyond my price point right now, so I bought a tile saw and some decent saw blades. Small agates, geodes successfully done! I have also received a Hi-Tec polisher that I've yet to use unfortunately. I was wondering/hoping if you were going to sell any more specimens on your Ebay store again. I mean it's YOUR fault this old NC man has taken up rockhounding and trying and sometimes succeeding with crude lapidary results. You have a gift for making people want to get out there and find beauty in the world and it's truly appreciated by all your fans. And you've shown me how to gift other people with the beauty of the earth (though nowhere near your level 😅). Thanks for all you do and blessings to you and your family and Chopper. ROCK ON!

I much prefer it and have been doing it for years. I also put the "smalls" in a clear bottle, with smooth sides and fill with water. You can then rotate and see them at their best. I was gifted a tumbler for Christmas. Other family members hated smelling nail polish. Well, it only works on bigger rocks. The one's you can afford to grind down. The rocks it came with were ruined by tumbling. They were great after the 2nd grit. But I took it to the 3rd and their greatness disappeared. I should have nail polished them at that point. I prefer the wet rough look anyway.

Kim, I'm happy to see you back! I've (we've) missed you so much. Your videos are always a highlight for me & I love to watch them. Kim it's so wonderful to see you out rockhounding again. The agates that you found were awesome and the one at 11:00 the dendrites were so beautiful and then the zebra chert was out of this world. Im glad you left when that deer ran by and the blood trail was from something hunting, my first thought was a coyote or wolf but then I said mountain lion and then you put up the picture of one. Where I lived in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan we had cougars and they are nothing to mess with and now there are bobcats that live right across the road and the deer weren't around much this fall like they had been this summer. I wish I could get back to Montana the problem is the three states between here and there and then the day after Thanksgiving my wife passed away so now I will have to watch more KZbin. Keep up the great videos and God bless you and your family.
