Rob's joke about the longest pause would be funny, but it seems that TV quiz shows and talent shows are getting on board with this. I watched a talent show and the pause between "The winner is" and naming the winner was literally 10 seconds. But other shows are working their way up. I think it is a way of the program producers stretching out 10 minutes of recorded program to a 25 minute TV show.
