The People's Court

The People's Court

Күн бұрын

The plaintiff purchased a car from the defendant that turn turned out to be a piece of junk that leaked oil. The plaintiff believes the defendant knew about the damages and is suing for a refund. The defendant says the plaintiff ran over a large screw, and she fixed it for free. Then the plaintiff came back and demanded her money back for no reason, so the defendant denies owing.

Why do people come on the People's Court complaining about USED cars? Even if you buy a car from a dealership, a used car should be checked out by an independent mechanic.

@williamhudson2815 Great point!! It also makes sense from an insurance standpoint as well. I have only bought used cars from private individuals with no problems. However, with new cars that I bought, I had a 2 - or 3-day time consideration when I could bring back the car for a full refund. Do you think a person could negotiate such a term with a used car?

One of the dumbest plaintiffs I ever saw and way to embarrassed to talk at the end one of her friends came back to argue a point that was irrelevant about the warranty??? She still has a warranty what she doesn't have is the car because she didn't sign the extension. Even if Judge ruled in her favor she lost the car

I love how her friend at the end said "she never had a warranty" despite the fact that the plaintiff herself testified that he had a warranty and half of her claims were denied.

Wow im 32 and have owned a home for the past 3 years and have had brand new cars since i was 23. I'd be walking and sleeping on benches if i acted the way the plaintiff does. Shes very childish and even the way she stormed out at the end just shows she needs to mature and act like shes been on this earth for 3 whole decades

What could the plantiff had said that would have worked? The judge is asking her very specific questions and she's not answering. She had a warranty and never used it, she had the car repo'd because she wasn't making payments because she thought she was getting a deferment despite not signing the form.

The judge already has already read the party’s sworn statements, that was their chance to tell her everything and in court is the time to prove it. She cuts them short majority of the time because they are adding in information to better help their case when in reality it exposes them as liars.

99 % of these warranties are only worth the paper it's printed on, and most are only a money-making scam, its worldwide like that, Who is going to sell u a warranty that's going to benefit the buyer, it would make the company go bang,,the price of any engine part on a Merc is a made price

The plaintiff is 30 yrs old but she comes off like a young child! So hard to believe there are so many people out there that are this dense when it comes to car purchases, warranties, etc.-if she didn’t understand all her paperwork, why didn’t she take someone with her, but instead she decides she’s just gonna give it back (which sounds like “buyers remorse” to me?!) How these people make it through life is beyond me?? 😮
