That's neat !! I too have rescued 2 - 1948 8N Tractors .. both engines were stuck .. one was an easy fix ... and came loose easy .. the other came loose but smoked bad ... it got an overhaul !!! Looks great .. thanks for sharing !! Gary

ANOTHER WAY TO TOW OR UNLOAD AS YOU JUST DID IF YOU HAVE A PIPE SAY 3INCH THEN RUN CHAIN THROUGH IT AND HOOK UP BOTH ENDS TO YOUR TRACTORS IT CAN COME OFF OF TRAILER 50 MPR AND WONT HURT ANYTHING IF WAS PUT IN RIGHT PLACE OF HOOK-UP grrrrr caps i need my A moved or i need to look up when i'm typing

Guys I have a Ford 8n and I have a problem. It ran great until we were changing spark plugs and my grandpa dropped a nut in the head. After we put it together anti freeze went everywhere. The exhaust, head you name it. We replaced the head and got rid of antifreeze in head and in carb and everything, but it won’t start! We bought new head, head gasket, coil, ignition key and wire, wiring harness, battery cables, new antifreeze in radiator, gas is clean, cleaned carb, and a few others I can’t think of at the moment. Can somebody please please help me.

+TylerPirrone does it turn over correctly? First thing to do if it does turn over is to check for spark at the plugs. If you have spark, then go through and double check your fuel system to be sure it’s working. If both of those are ok I would compression test it, but if it won’t even try to run I suspect you have a fuel or ignition problem.

Guy in WY it has very good spark and compression, it just doesn’t seem like it’s turning over quick enough, we already put the new ignition on it and we have jumped it with a jump box and charged up the battery and still it doesn’t even seem like it wants to start.

Guy in WY there’s like 1 chug from the piston like every 30 turn overs, and that’s about it.
