Grippers aren't bad at all, they are good. No hand exercise trains all sort of things at once. You have to train dynamic crush and pinch grip and static grips for overall hand strength. So no grippers aren't bad but don't train all like other tools you use

if you want to train with grippers i would reccomend getting multiple pairs of grippers like the captains of crush sport, trainer, and 1 so you have some grippers which you can do comfortably but challenge you but also grippers you are barely able to do once or cannot close at all, this way you can see how youre progressing

I disagree, your going to build so much more strength and muscle doing grippers, wrist curls, reverse wrist curls, reverse curls for the forearm brachioradialis which you did not mention an exercise for and why are you talking about thumb strength grippers slowly increase your thumb strength but most people get grippers which is too much for them for starting off. like shit man i got thumb tendonitis in my left hand for a month from overuse of my grippers because i dint give the thumb tendon and muscles enough time to repair.
@t.p.ggaming3884
@t.p.ggaming3884 2 жыл бұрын
Reverse curls on a barbell without using your thumb is probably the best all round forearm exercise, It takes the help away that the thumb gives and forces you to crush down on the bar to keep it from rolling out of your fingers, So it lights up the extensors, The brachoradialis and the forearm flexors
@CalisthenicsStudent
@CalisthenicsStudent 2 жыл бұрын
I did not mention those exercises because almost every fitness channel mentions them, I wanted to talk about something different. Well, hand grippers that are okay for training thumbs become less sufficient for forearm training as the user continues to develop. (At least that was the case for me) But sure, go on with that if it works for you bud.

Get an adjustable one and choose a weight that you can do 10 max. reps in a set. Then start with 3-4 sets of 8 reps with 60 sec. rest in-between. Try to do maximum reps with that weight after 2 or 3 weeks and once you can do 12 perfect reps with a particular weight, increase the weight a little bit and repeat the process. Because in that position, your finger joints take the most of the weight, your muscles should take the weight. It's like extending your elbows all the way when doing triceps extensions. It's too much pressure for your joints + your muscles and tendons don't work as much as they would.
