My son got involved with Skateboarding in middle school. He loved it beyond everything in his life. I dropped him off at the front door of his high school every morning and watched him go in. A month into school I went to the school conference only to find out from one of his teachers that he was never there. Every day he would catch the city bus after I dropped him off and take it across town to a skate park he loved. I finally just did homeschooling after I ended up in court for his truancy. At age 17 he just took a test and got his GED. That boy put many gray hairs on my head! My 3 year old granddaughter is now into skateboarding. I can see so much of my son's great body-mind control in her. She is fearless and has a great love of learning.

So simple, so true but so hard to do when you're in a really bad place. Even when I want to sit in a dark room in front of a screen with a pizza warming my lap I KNOW deep down that some social engagement is what is gonna snap me out of the rut I'm in. If you know someone in that place then just taking them for a walk around the block can do a world of good for them.

The interviewer is clearly enthusiastic and attentive but his style is so amateurish at times. He sometimes sounds as if he's telling Andrew what is the case. If he could just prefix his comments with something like: I'm impressed by the way Andrew handles this. This is how I found this interview.

I just discovered Dr Huberman after being interested in human potential, how the human brain works and the conection mind- body- spirit that I learned from the East (since in the West we compartmentalize everything ) through ioga, meditation and diet and I really like his work. We all need this kind of information. Thank you Dr. Huberman for sharing it with everybody.

I have recently discovered Dr. Andrew, as looking to understand behavior patterns about myself. So these interviews keep popping up and I am like a sponge... the hosts can be a distraction, they all talk way too much about themselves. Thank for having Dr Andrew on. I have a question for the host, at the top of the interview, why even question introducing Dr. Andrew as an American Scientist? ! He is American!!!!!

It makes a lot of sense to prepare the body through brain health, fitness and breath work before diving into meditation. I had never heard anyone say that before. Interesting conversation. A LOT of information and concepts in one sitting for a non-scientist so I really appreciate the idea of adjusting the nomenclature to reach the general public.

could you go more into micro healing/regeneration in a future episode? reminds me of calculus where you keep slicing a shape into smaller and smaller parts until - like you said, you're healing/regenerating and building strengths simultaneously. Is there a link between, like walking barefoot in the sand, to micro healing through the activation of so many senses at the same time?

@@Joshua-gu5nj i agree about him saying more in conversation, however Maureen's valid comment is that Mark kept rudely interrupting and derailing Andrew's responses almost as if he needed to dominate the conversation, especially for the first 2/3 of the podcast. There's conversation, and there's dominated conversation. In this case, it was frustrating for many of us, judging by the comments, which speaks volumes about how Mark carried himself through most of this podcast.

Wow, my grandpa taught me about the relaxed/focused gaze when I was a kid, just with different words. He taught me to hunt and taught me that we don't look for deer, we wait for movement, then focus on that area to see what's there. Also, I like that this is a conversation, and not just a lecture. I'm gonna subscribe!
